Greta

Greta was finishing preparing dinner when the knock finally came at the
door. She grinned happily. T'grat had been busy with all day and she had
not seen him since he'd stopped into the medical center earlier to check on
her and the children. 

However, they had a dinner date for tonight and she was expecting him at
any time now. The children were already in bed for the night and Greta had
been waiting for his arrival with anticipation.

She quickly moved to the door, opening it with a grin. The grin faded when
she saw there was no one there. She stepped out and looked around, "T'grat?"

Suddenly a rock smashed into the wall beside her. She jumped back,
startled. Her heart was beating a fast rhythm in her chest as she looked
down to see a rock with a note attached to it. Looking around once more
time, she bent down to pick it up. Then she quickly stepped back into the
room and nervously unwrapped the note.

[If you value the lives of your children, you will NOT return to Whitbarrow.]

Greta crumbled into a chair, stunned. 

She didn't even hear the knock at the door when it sounded only minutes later.

T'grat getting no answer to his knock, knocked again, louder this time,
"Greta .." he called.

He turned the door handle and opened the door. His eyes widened as he saw
the pale face of his lover sitting collapsed in a chair. "Greta .." he
said, his voice full of concern.

Her eyes focused on his face, as tears began to fall. She clutched at him
desperately as he tried to sooth her running his hand over her head.
"Greta, what's wrong."

She handed him the note, which was still clutched in her hand and she
watched as his face darkened.
