by
paul s baker <litewave@PioneerPlanet.infi.net>
Hi everyone! For those who don't know me my name is Patrick(or Pat
works)
anyway, here is Rain's Intro, sorry it took so long, but I have been
busy
with work, and school.
And away we goooo!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
<Boss, wakeup now!>
<What do you need Rel? I was having a perfectly good dream about a
blonde!>
<They have found us again!>
<@#$%, I thought we had lost them for sure, this is the third city they
have found us in!>
<Boss, its the "squad" again!>
<Those guys are really getting on my nerves! That's it we're leaving.>
<What city this time boss?>
<Screw it, this time we are going to the wilderness! I have had it with
running. They will never find us out there!>
<What about wraith's, and dragons?>
<The wraith's can rot in hell for all I care! The dragons I would like
to see!>
Rain set about methodically packing what he could, and leaving the rest
for whomever would have it. As he was running out the back door, he
heard the splintering of the front door. He ran down the alley, hoping
to lose the Ghost Squad, man were they a pain in the a@@! Going through
turn after turn, in order to lose them. Finally about an hour later, he
made it to the gates of Batim, and quickly walked out.
<I think we lost them boss!>
<Good, keep an eye out for them. I need to concentrate for a second.
I am going to try to get a fix on that dragon amulet I found the shroud
for. It might lead us to a warren, which as far as the ghost squad is
concerned is another country.>
<Alright boss. They seem to be lost at the moment.>
<Good>
Rain walked towards the nearby cluster of trees, and found a clearing.
He sat down and opened his pack, pulling out the shroud he had aqiuired
at the bizarre. Upon touching it he instantly saw a vision of it in his
mind. It must be magical, for it to have given him a vision.
<Okay Rel, I have a fix on it. To the Northeast, somewhere in those
mountains>
<Uh...boss, the squad is chasing after me!>
<Well then, not to bright are they? They cannot fly, what do they think
that they can sprout wings and catch you? Morons. Lose em' lead them
South.>
<Okay boss, but what about you? >
<I'll be fine, just get going>
Rain travelled until the moon set beyond the horizon. He had a light
dinner, and then proceeded to enter into a light sleep. Relan arrived
about half hour later. He ate the meat that Rain left out for him, and
then went to sleep himself.
Rain woke up shortly before dawn, and began to exercise with his sword.
Relan awoke and flew over to Rain's shoulder.
<Did ya lose 'em Rel?>
<Yes I did, and man was that easy!>
<Too easy?>
<Now that I think about it, maybe it was>
<Don't worry about it, we'll just have to move a little faster today.
Lets get going, it will take us at least all day to make it to those
mountains.>
The rest of the day was uneventful, with a brief stop for lunch. Rain
arrived at the base of the mountains, and started walking up the hills
at the base. He found a small cave, and made camp. Again, he pulled
the shroud from his pack and concentrated on it. The vision was
different this time however. It was more clear, plus he could see a
cavern in the background. He also felt the vibrations strongly.
According to what he had learned of it, it was very old. Odd, he never
felt any vibrations this strong before. He put the shroud away, fed
Relan, fed himself, then fell asleep.
He awoke before dawn again, and exercised with his sword again.
Apparently they had lost the squad for the time being at least. He and
Relan left the cave shortly after dawn. They were slowly making it
through a mountain pass when they saw a couple dragons with riders over
head.
<Do ya think they saw us Rel?>
<I'm not sure boss, they might have. Do you think they could help us?>
<I hope so, I would love to ride one of those magnificent creatures!>
<I'll go try to get their attention boss.>
Relan flew up in front of the dragon riders.......
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well I'll leave it up to whoever the scouts are to take it from here. I
think I have written enough for an intro.
