Day 5 evening
"Sorry about that." K'Tarr spluttered apologetically. "It takes a while to
appreciate Qualis' sick sense of humour. I said something about just
throwing myself into new situations and? well, you can see what happened
from that."
Kalena sputtered, her clothes now soaking wet. "I don't know if I'll ever
appreciate a sense of humor like that." she said rather discusted.
She then heard Donjanth snicker.
*It's not one bit funny.* she communicated with her soul mate.
<Oh but it is. It's almost as funny as something Makron would do.>
*Don't tell me there is another Dragon that would be equally as *funny* as
this? Oh wonderful.*
She noticed that Antwin was filled with amusement, almost as much as
DonJanth, even with his lute quite soked and then grinned as if he had
serious plans, as K'Tarr handed her a towel.
"Kalena, I'm really sorry. I hope you're not upset about this." he said.
His gentle eyes looked down into hers and all anger vanished.
"Of course not, K'Tarr." she said as her eyes quickly moved down to her
feet as his stare seemed to see into her soul. "But I have had dryer
welcomes."
"I really am sorry." he said looking a little dejected. "I'm sure you
realize that I don't have control over what he does." He reached up with
the towel and begins to dry her hair. Neither one realizing that the
entire group was watching their quiet conversation.
K'Tarr soon realizes that they had an audience and softly said, "Kalena,
I'd love to talk with you longer, but maybe somewhere, where we wouldn't be
disturbing the others." he glanced at the group sitting on the shore.
Kalena looked the way of his glance and blushed slightly, also realizing
that were being watched.
"I don't know my way around here. We could take a walk, but I'm not sure
I'd find my way back." she said feeling rather foolish for saying that.
"That's not a problem," K'Tarr said, "I hunt and can find my way out of any
forest. This will be easy."
The two riders walked off away from the lake, soon deep in conversation.
The group at the beach watched for them leave.
Then the young Cat stated loudly. "How rude, you poor thing Antwin, she
just gets up and deserts you!"

NRPG: I hope that I did alright with K'Tarr and Cat.
