Day 6 - Midday
Dining Hall

Antwin drank in the activity in the dining hall like a thirsty man drinks
ale. He ran one hand through his long hair and stepped proudly into the
room. The crash of a tambourine caught his ear and he snapped his head
around in time to see the tambourine bounce of the wall.

"Damn! I missed!" Came a shout from where the instrument had been thrown.

Slowly, Antwin turned his head and regarded his assailant. A tall
statuesque woman with olive skin and dark curly hair stood with her
clenched fists resting on her hips and her delicately sandaled foot tapping
the stone floor. "I knew that when I saw you again, it would be too soon,
bard!"

With a laugh, the bard swept the woman up in his arms and spun her around
once. "Isabella! It has been too long!"

Suddenly, a hulking figure appeared between the bard and the woman, forcing
them apart. Before Antwin could react, the large figure smashed his fist
into the bard's jaw. Antwin flew backwards over the wide banquet table,
sending riders and dinners sprawling about.

The lanky bard pushed himself up on one elbow and rubbed his aching mouth
with the other hand. A few of the riders in the dining hall began to line
up, ready for a fight. Antwin got up slowly.

"It's good to see you too, Antonio." He worked his jaw around to ease the
throbbing. "I guess you owed me that one, huh?"

The giant of a man had crossed his arms across his chest and stared at
Antwin coldly. Then, his great mustached face split into a wide grin. He
threw his head back and laughed once, then clapped Antwin on the shoulder.
Antwin nearly fell over again under the weight of the strong man's hand.

"Eet is good to see you again, leetle brother minstrel!" Antonio boomed.
"Eet has been too long. You come seeng songs weeth us again, we have beeg
show tonight. You play your lute wees my Isabella!"

"How could I say no, Antonio? You'd snap my arms off!" Antwin poked the
burly man in the chest and laughed.

[NRPG - So some of the bard's checkered past has caught up with him.
Antonio, and his daughter, Isabella, are part of Daimon's Delights (the
troupe that arrived the night before with Link's mother). Antwin romanced
Isabella year's ago when they had all first met. Antonio was angry, but
after the punch, he feels much better ;} ]

Day 6 - Evening

>"Oh, no, K'Tarr. I really do love it. But I don't even know how to use a
bow and arrow."

"Oh," K'tarr stumbled. "I guess that makes this not a very good gift."

Kalena laughed at the young man shyly. "Well, it's the thought that counts,
right."

K'Tarr smiled at her warmly. "But you do like it?" She nodded back and
returned his smile. "Good, then I can teach you how to use it? if you'll
let me?"

"I think I'd like that, K'Tarr." The small woman raised a hand and gently
touched K'Tarr's tattooed forearm. He thought she lingered there for a
little while before she pulled away hastily. Again, she seemed to tense up.
K'Tarr could feel the doubt in his belly begin to swell up. Perhaps he was
wrong about Kalena. He must be coming on too strong.

"Well, it's late now." K'Tarr took a half step back from Kalena. "When you
are free tomorrow, I can show you how to use your bow."

"Alright, thank-you again." Kalena looked somewhat disappointed that he was
leaving, but K'Tarr just couldn't be sure what she was feeling. "I really
do like the bow." She said as she stepped back into her apartment.

The hunter stood there watching her door for a moment, then Qualis'
thoughts joined his. <That was odd. But then again, I find all of your
interactions with other humans odd. Especially with females. Why is it that
they always seem to go running away from you?>

<Thank you, Qualis. That's just what I needed right now. I think I'd like
to go home and go to sleep now.>
