Day 6 - afternoon
Dining Hall
>"I know it." Antwin told her
>"Will you play it for me?" she asked him in a soft, sexy whisper.
Antwin locked his eyes to hers for a moment. Finally, he thought to
himself, Someone who knows how to play the game. Then he slowly leaned back
and played the first few chords.
"I'll play for you, m'lady?" He pressed the lute strings flat and smiled
his most handsome and mischievous smile. "but, you must promise me one
thing."
"And that would be?" Talli coyly asked.
"That you will dance." Antwin requested and broke into the song. It was a
merry little country ballad. A very simple tune, yet Antwin always found it
fun to play. Of course, He always thought to himself, being a bard of true
skill, I simply cannot leave this song in it's simple state.
Antwin began to improvise some lyrics:
Back in my home town,
Was a bar up on the hill.
And in the bar worked,
A girl named Raunchy Lil.
She could drink a pint straight back
And then drink several more.
She sit and drink all day,
Then start to walk the floor.
Looking for loving
That all she really needs
A good old fashion evening
Of sewing her wild seeds!
O Raunchy Lil, up on the hill
The things you do to me!
O Raunchy Lil, O Raunchy Lil!
You caught me can't you see!!
The crowd began to laugh. Antwin played a little longer, then improvised
another few verses about Raunchy Lil. Then he caught sight of Talli from
the corner of his eye. He struck a sharp chord on his lute, bringing the
country jaunt to halt. And in a moment of inspiration and nostalgia, he
began to play a song that he learned from his days travelling with Antonio
and Isabella. The rich gypsy tones came from his lute slowly and
passionately.
Talli caught her breath short when the Bard locked his smoldering gaze on
her again. She could feel the passion in his music. As the rhythm swayed
seductively back and forth, she could feel her hips begin to move in time.
Antwin played a little faster, up and down the scales; Talli closed her
eyes and let the music envelope her. She stepped out from the circle of the
crowd and began to dance.
Talli shook her curvy hips in time to the Bard's passionate tune. She could
feel her pulse quickening and fine beads of sweat began to form in the
small of her back as she spun to the song's beat. Her breath was coming
faster and faster.
People began to clap to the beat of the song.
Antwin had been watching her from his seat, but the music's intoxicating
effect even worked it's magic on him. He stood up and began to play as he
moved in time with Talli. The two moved in and about of each other as the
Bard's hands flew across the strings of his dark coloured lute.
The rider and the bard moved closer and closer as the song began to
crescendo. Talli could smell the scented oils that the bard wore as he
passed by her, his fingers never missing a string; the song never slowing.
Antwin was feeling a little heady, the song drove him to play faster and
harder than he had played it? perhaps, ever. He wove in close to the red
head and he heard her gasp slightly. His hands flew across the strings of
his treasured lute faster and faster, prying the last few shrill notes of
the song out.
As the last note still hung in the air, Talli threw herself into the arms
of the Bard. She planted a passionate kiss on Antwin's lips, much to the
approval of the crowd. She pulled away, and smiled at the taller man with
fire in her eyes.
Antwin cocked an eyebrow, not letting her out of his arms. With one hand he
reached back, grabbed his cape and his wineskin and said to Talli. "Let's
go."

Day 6 - Evening
Dining Hall
K'Tarr was frustrated. Actually, he could think of a few other words for it
too. Perplexed, angry, annoyed, exhilarated, happy, confused. He was
starting to wonder if moving to Norwall was such a good idea. So far, he
had managed to anger his Warrenlady, endanger his wingleader, fall for a
woman who wasn't interested in him? and he was sure that those were the
least of the problems he had caused.
After delivering his present to Kalena, K'Tarr decided to go get something
to eat. However, he didn't really feel like being social. He took a plate
of food from the kitchen staff with thanks, and quietly went to hide in one
of the more dim corners of the dining hall. Fortunately, Antwin had the
crowd enthralled with a whimsical song about a barmaid who drank too much.
K'Tarr was in too bad of a mood to really enjoy the song. He sat and ate,
brooding about his past few days. After a while, Antwin began to play a
different song, and K'Tarr realized what his companion was up to. The rider
who had flirted with him earlier, Talli was her name, began to dance for
the Bard. K'Tarr laughed once. At least Antwin wouldn't be spending the
night alone.
With a sigh, K'Tarr returned to his wine skin.
[NRPG - Poor K'Tarr, no one understands him. All he needs is a little
love.]
