Day 6 - morning
Med centre

"Good morning sweetheart."  Lilliana said as she saw Amy and Dizzi
enter through the double doors that led into the reception area of the
Med centre.  "And how are you feeling this morning?"

Dizzi smiled shyly as Lilliana bent down and patted her cheek then she
hid her face in Amy's skirts, peeking out every now and then to smile
up at the healer as she talked with her guardian.

"The nightmares?"  Lilliana asked softly as she tousled Dizzi's black
curls and handed her a lollipop to suck on.

"A little better."  Amy told her with a small sigh.  "But she's still
terrified to actually go to sleep and she's forcing herself to stay
awake as long as she can."

"It'll take time."  Lilliana told her.  "But with lots of love and hugs
and someone who's willing to listen to her when she finally wants to
talk about what she saw that day she'll put this to the back of her
mind.  Getting her mixing with other children is probably the best
thing you can do for her right now.  Have you talked to R'tem about the
rider's creche yet?"

"I wasn't sure how welcome Dizzi would be there."  Amy shook her head
at Lilliana's question.  "After all we're not Norwall riders and ..."

"I don't know how you do things back at your home warren,"  Lilliana
patted her on the arm  "but here we help everyone regardless.  R'tem
will be more than happy to add an extra pupil to her classes and
Dizzi's quiet nature will be a calming influence on some of the more
boisterous children.  We'll take her along and see how it goes."

Amy picked up Dizzi and settled her on her hip before turning to follow
Lilliana.

Day 6 - afternoon
Dining Hall


"Oh my he's so handsome it shouldn't be allowed."  Talli rolled her
eyes and nudged her patrol partner in the ribs.  

"He's OK if you like the pretty boy kinda look I suppose."  J'lik said
as she watched Antwin tune his lute and prepare, rather theatrically
she thought, to play.  "Anyway I thought you had the hots for his
friend.  That new rider he came in with ... What's his name?...
K'narr?"

"K'tarr."  Talli told her absentmindedly as she drained her cup of wine
and pushed back her chair.  "Nah!  He was supposed to have dinner with
me yesterday but he stood me up. Not a nice thing to do to a lady."

"Since when did you become a lady?"  J'lik laughed.  "And did he ever
actually say he *would* have dinner with you?  Or did you just throw
out the invitation you extend to every halfway attractive man you meet
and expect him to just go along with it?"

"Damn you too."  Talli grinned back at her friend.  "You know me too
well.  Besides I hear K'tarr's sweet on Kalena."

"When has that ever stopped you from going after a man you wanted?" 
J'lik asked her in surprise. 

"I told you I don't want him."  Talli told her shortly.  "Anyway
Kalena's a sweet kid and from what I heard she's been hurt enough. 
She's welcome to him for all me.  But Antwin?  Now he's a different
story.  Handsome, charming and I've heard he's no stranger to the finer
arts of love ... if you catch my drift."

J'lik nodded and the pair giggled together.

"But he's hasn't shown any interest in you."  J'lik reminded her
friend. 

"I'm not going to let a little thing like that stop me."  Talli
declared in a low voice.  "You just watch me rouse his interest!"

She took a moment to riffle her fingers through her auburn hair, pinch
some colour into her cheeks and moisten her full, red lips with the tip
of her tongue.  Then she sauntered across the room towards the
singing bard.  As she walked her hips swayed sexily and a number of
wolf whistles followed her progress between the tables.

"Dream on boy."  she murmured as she deftly avoided one rider's
grasping hands.  "I'm too much woman for you."

"You sing so well."  she told him huskily when he'd finished his set. 
"There's a song I'd love to hear you play if you've a mind."

"It depends."  Antwin told her.  "Which song did you have in mind?"

"The Ballad of Raunchy Lil is my all time favourite."  Talli said with
a grin as she reached across to to pat his cheek.  "Gives me the
shivers everytime I hear it and puts me in the mood... if you know what
I mean."

"I know it."  Antwin told her

"Will you play it for me?"  she asked him in a soft, sexy whisper.

Day 6 - afternoon
Med centre

K'lvin nodded absently to the grinning Faith as she dropped her
curtsey, his gaze and mind fixed firmly on the figure in the bed. 
Faith rolled her eyes in Cat's direction, poked her tongue out cheekily
and skipped from the room with a cheery "Seeya!"

He took a moment to stroke Mr Purr's soft, grey fur then he
straightened up and moved hesitantly towards Cat's bed.

"I brought you something."  he told her shyly.  "I hope you like it."

He handed over one of the two small packages that he was holding
gingerly in front of her him, and sank into the chair beside the bed
with sigh of relief.

"I didn't want it to get squashed this time."  he explained when she
unwrapped the still warm pastry that was his first gift.  "And this is
for you too."  he told her softly as he handed over a tiny box.  "It
isn't much but I thought of you as soon as I saw them.  Daimon said I
could change them if you don't like them but I hope you do."

"Oh!"  Cat's squeaked.

Opening the box had revealed a pair of fine gold earrings.  The tiny
golden cat's heads that dangled from the thin wires had tiny ruby eyes
that sparkled in the light.

"These are for me?"  she asked in a quiet voice, gazing at him with
huge eyes.

He nodded, pleased that she seemed to like the gift.

"They're beautiful."  

"So are you."  he told her in a rush.  "And if you don't stop looking
at me that way I'm going to have to kiss you again."

Talli is one of Norwall's patrol riders and as such is well respected
for her ability to handle any situation that might be a danger to the
warren.  She's well liked by both male and female members of the
warren, and though the older riders sometime cluck disapprovingly at
some of her antics they admire her stubborn dedication to her warren.
She fights hard and dirty, and is well able to take care of herself in
any fight where she's not out gunned.  And will always come to the
rescue of a fellow rider who's in trouble.  She's good to have at your
back in a fight. She carries a number of knives and daggers well hidden
on her person, and she handles a short sword with deceptive ease. 
She's in the process of forging and crafting her own long sword.

Her outrageous and overtly sexual behaviour hide a basically shy nature
...something she'll deny vehemently.
