Warrenlady's office, late afternoon, Day 11

"Would you like some coffee?" she asked him, if a little timidly.

"Love one," S'ron replied, massaging his neck with his hand. He looked
at Jeneve for a moment, catching her furtive glances back at him. He
laughed.

"I'm not going to bite you, you know," he said, a slight smile on his
face. Jeneve matched the smile after a moment, her body visibly
relaxing.

"I'm relieved to hear it," she replied, putting a cup in front of him
before sitting back down. "I know what Naomi was to you and I didn't
want it to seem like..."

"It's not as if it was your fault," S'ron assured her, mention of
Naomi causing a momentary twinge. "Regardless, we have to work
together and I'd like it to be as smooth as possible."

"I couldn't agree more," Jeneve said with a smile.

"But it's not going to be easy," she continued.

"Oh, no - not the working together bit," she added, when S'ron
raised an eyebrow slightly. "I mean, me learning to ensure the smooth
running of Norwall. Learning to do things as well as Naomi." Jen
looked down at her coffee, miserably.

"Look, Jeneve," said S'ron, not unkindly. "You're *not* Naomi, and you
never will be. But no one *expects* you to be, either, so there's no
point in knocking yourself out, trying to be everything she was.

"You were Naomi's choice to take over, and that's enough reason for
everyone in Norwall to accept you without question," said S'ron.

"Everyone?" asked Jen, uncertainly.

"Everyone," replied S'ron. "It's good enough for me."

"Thanks. That means a lot," said Jeneve, still not meeting S'ron's
eyes.

"Because I *am* going to give this warren everything I've got," she
said, suddenly looking up.

"Norwall took me in when my life was falling apart and I was all alone
except for Malani. And now Norwall can have every breath in my
body!" her eyes flashed, a determined expression on her face, as if
daring S'ron to doubt her.
