[After Malani talked to Cloud]

Cloud lifted his head. Malani could see tears in his
eyes.

<Sorry, my rider says that males are not suppose to cry.> Cloud said
using his tail to wipe his tears away,< It's that memory. The one that
keeps me awake at night. It just won't stop.> He started to cry again.

Malani got closer and put her wing around him. She glared at the few
dragons that was witnessing the seen. After seeing her glare they
left.

After a few moments Cloud looked up and said,< I guess I should
apologize to D'lion and Nightmare for the way I've been acting.>

Malani just stayed beside him thinking.

<end snip>

She smiled a slow, draconian smile.

<That would be a good start> she said. <I'm sure they'll understand>

<What about Dizzi?> Cloud asked, the anxiety showing through in his
thoughts.

<No, that's not a good idea> said Malani. <I think that may just
confuse her - remember she's just a hatchling>

<But ... if I've been scaring her away, like you said...> Cloud
insisted, his voice close to breaking. < I want to get her back!>

<Be kind to her, stop acting in a way that could scare her, and she
*will* come back to you> the gold dragon said, kindly.  <She needs you
... and so does your rider...>

<My rider?> said Cloud.

<Yes. Link has been causing a lot of heartache among the humans of
Norwall, thanks to the turmoil and confused feelings in his mind. You
need to be strong - for *him* too.>

<I hadn't thought of it like that...> Cloud admitted.

<Don't worry > said Malani. <Now that you realise there *is* a
problem, you can get to work solving it. Now, how about starting with
going and having a talk with D'Lion?>
