<SNIP FROM BEN'S POST>

They were creeping through a corridor when they heard voices ahead and then
a shout. The moved ahead and saw one of the creatures, its throat already
neatly slit, moving towards a small woman. She was terrified, eyes closed
and small dagger held out before her. Roz rushed ahead and Sabian was only
a step behind. The young man dispatched the thing without his help and then
moved to comfort the girl.

<NEW>
"Oh Roz!" cried Cat, flinging her arms around his neck and burying her head in his shoulder.

Roz, aware of the other men's eyes on him looked somewhat shaken, not to mention slightly embarassed. "There, there," he whispered absentmindedly, patting her hair soothingly. Roz looked over the top of Cat's head at Sabian and Antwin, and mouthed "what now?"

<SNIP BACK TO BEN'S POST>
There was another man there, who seemingly had
gotten his shoulder in the way of a sword.

Sabian knelt next to him and looked at the wound. The man managed a weak
smile.

"It's probably not that bad. I don't suppose you anything to drink with
you? This hurts like all hell and I would love to forget about that."

"Sorry friend, I don't. We'll get you over to the Med Centre as soon as we
can."

One of the other young men volunteered to take the wounded bard, which is
what he turned out to be, to the Med Centre. Roz made sure that the girl
went as well ... she didn't seem to be taking this as easily as others.

<NEW>

"Who's *he*!" demanded Cat.

"He's ... ummm ... a friend," said Roz, lamely.

Cat's eyes narrowed, and she pulled him aside. "That may be so, but who *is* he! I haven't seen him round here before..."

"No - I'm staying here!" said Cat, rejoining the group and glaring defiantly back at Sabian. "I'm fine now."

With a look that allowed no argument, even from Cat, Sabian grasped her arm with a steely grip, stared deep into her eyes, and hissed: "You'll do what I say, young lady,"

Cat knew that this was a man who meant business. She sensed a steak of hardness - cruelty even - and her eyes widened. Cat was impressed! If he was on *their* side, then he was quite a guy! Cat decided that Roz's new companion was definitely worth getting to know...

But if he wasn't on their side... Cat gulped.

By now, Roz and the other man were hurrying down the corridor. If she weren't quick, Cat's investigations would have to wait.

The young man who had volunteered to help take the wounded bard to the Med centre had finished binding Antwin's arm, and was now helping him take large swigs from a rapidly emptying flask of liquor.

"Take care," said Cat, with a grin, patting Antwin's good arm. "See ya later!"

And with that, she hurried off in the direction Roz and the strange man had taken.

[NRPG: Feel free to have Cat sneak, or stumble (depending on how successful her stealthiness is) anything going on with Roz/S'ron/Sabian etc. (This girl's going to get herself into serious trouble one of these days, you know what they say - Curiosity Killed the Cat <g>)

Cat is *fascinated* by Sabian - you know her, always ready to to make snap decisions! Don't worry, she doesn;t feel the same way as she does about K'lvin <grin>, but she thinks he's, well, kind of cool! She's impressed, and wants to know more. However, she *is* wary, as he senses something - well, sinister about him. But perhaps that's part of the fascination...]
