[Day 17 med center shortly after Lilliana left]

Link and Amy sat in silence. Link just stared at the
wall in thought.

Amy dis sided to break the silence." So what did you
two talk about?" she asked.

Link was silent for a moment," She said that I may be
released in time for that celebration every one is
talking about."

Amy wasn't convinced that was all they where talking
about. She walked over and sat on the edge of his bed.
She put her arm around his shoulder.

"Come on honey." she pried," We may have only been
married for two years, but I know you better than you
even you do. Now what where you two talking about?"

Link sighed.' Might as well come out with it.' he
thought to himself as he turned toward him loving
wife.

He took both of her hands in his, sighed, and said in
a soft gentle tone," Lilliana told me that Belle may
have her mating flight soon and that there is no
garentee that Cloud will win."

Amy just laughed and said," Don't worry. Belle tells
me that she has grown quite fond of Cloud. I'm sure
she'll choose him."

The tall rider shook his head." I don't think that's
how it works. But I want you to know that you are my
wife and I'll love you no matter what happens."

She hugged him. She loved this man. She did not want
to do any thing that might hurt him in any way.

The young blond broke his embrace telling him that she
had to go. She ran out of the med center just as the
sadness and guilt started to surface.

Belle and Amethyst landed near by. They where out
hunting. Belle was worried about her rider when they
landed. She felt that there was some thing wrong.

<Amy?> she asked with concern in her voice.

"Oh Belle!" Amy said out loud," I don't want to cheat
on Link. I don't want to have any one else."

Belle raised any dragonic eyebrow.

"Belle?" she continued aloud," Promise me you'll
choose Cloud when you fly."

Belle looked a crossed the green at the white dragon.
She couldn't say that she hadn't grown fond of him and
that she would love for him to win and take her, but
it dose not work that way.

She sighed,< Amy, I can't make any promises. I'm
sorry.>

Amy groaned as her shoulders dropped and her head hung
low.

Belle felt sorry for her. The green could feel the
strong love she had for Clouds rider.

*It's okay Belle. I'll see you in the morning.* Amy
told her dragon as she slowly walked to her apartment.

Belle watched as she left. She some times wished that
she was human. They seem to have so many wonderful
expeareances. Every one could have hatchling and if
they find that one mate they could choose to spend the
rest of their lives together.

She surrvayed the green and spied Coo. Belle figured
that she and her rider had been through more than
their share of mating flights.

<Amy. Why don't you talk to Breezy tomorrow when you
get a chance? She and Coo may be able to come up some
thing.>
