{Day 14 Late Evening in the Dining Hall}
*What an interesting group* thought Delilah, as she wandered to the
table where the Travelers had seated themselves. Rumors were flying all
over the warren about the strange group, mostly people were calling them
some kind of scholars. Contrary to popular belief, Delilah had quite an
extensive education. Not that she bothered with it much, mainly because
most of the men she ran into were not overly interested in talking. But
that was fine she got along quite well without articulate males.
When she returned with their food she noticed that one had removed his
hood and was openly eyeing her. The smile the handsome man turned on her
was all too familiar, but it could be interesting to see just what he
had under those blue robes. She managed to bite back the laugh that
threatened as she set the food on the table. The wall of indifference
she was met with now, as compared to before was almost comical.
<Snip>
"Thank you for such prompt service, Delilah. If you are available
later, I would like to speak with you."
Delilah smiled back, "Of course you may^."
"Sutek. My name is Sutek," he completed her silent question.
<End>
Delilah smiled slyly as she walked away from the table.
[..] a little while later.
The dark-haired beauty went about her tasks, fully aware of the man
watching here. Finally done with her tasks she kissed her Uncle on the
cheek and bid him goodnight. Grabbing her shawl, her green eyes
sparkled with mischief as she approached the man who had sat so
patiently.
"Now Sir, what is it you wished to speak to me about?"
Sutek smiled, "First, I do thank you for accepting my invitation. You
appear to be a bright lady, I
was wondering if you would be amiable to some questions about the
warren," she was a rather
stunning creature, but the Task was always of utmost importance.
Besides, if she didn't have
one type of knowledge, he was certain she had another kind^
She nodded with a gentle smile, "Come walk with me!"
"As you wish, Delilah. Kindly lead the way," Sutek replied. He had
definitely chosen wisely. The woman had both intellect and skills.
A heady fragrance filled the evening air as the couple strolled along in
companionable silence. Finding a large flat rock among the beautiful
flowers Delilah sat, then looking at her escort she said rather coyly,
"So ask your questions Sutek!"
"As you wish, lady Delilah. I am curious about the warren culture. I
would like to know what they do, how they interact. There is a definite
difference here than outside of the warren. Why is that?"
Delilah laughed, "Very much so and yet some things never change. The
landbound look down their noses at the Warren people and vice versa but
yet they need each other. It's a symbiosis of sorts, one that I think
neither side likes. I was sent here because my 'attitude' doesn't fit in
with the stricter, more morally straight-laced ways of the landbound.
The warren life is known for being more open and communal. But even
here......" her voice trailed off and she sighed, "As I said some things
never change!" My understanding is the mating flights of the dragons
cause this more open attitude here in the warren and yet the flights
seem to incense the tender sensibilities of the landbound even though
they won't admit to having the same feelings when it comes to certain
things."
"So Sutek, tell me about you! I am curious why I received a fair amount
of attention when I first arrived at your table, then on my return was
greeted with a stony wall of indifference, except by you. I find that
very curious indeed!" Delilah's catlike green eyes sparkled with
amusement, "You know I'm not usually treated with such indifference by
the male sex. I'm not sure I like it!" Glancing up at the man through
her long lashes she added slyly, "It's almost a challenge, you
know..........to my womanly ways, of course!"
Sutek raised an eyebrow, "Anything further than what they exhibited is
not permitted, save for myself. It is nothing personal. If it makes
you feel better, they still have the same feelings, they simply will not
show
them. It's not that we're straight-laced, as you put it. We just have
strict rules that govern our behavior."
Delilah rose, walking over to one of the flowerbeds she picked a
snow-white carnation inhaling its sweet fragrance, "How sad for your
friends, having feelings that you can't show. It must be very hard to
live that way." Taking his hand in hers a soft sensual smile adorned
her beautiful face, "Come Sutek, the night is growing cool. We can have
a nightcap at my place and you can tell me more about your people. I
must admit I am very intrigued!"
Sutek allowed himself to be led, the girl was definitely one he could
talk with at length about many things here. She apparently was well
versed in both cultures and would provide a unique viewpoint. As they
walked he looked at her, "And what might you be intrigued about?"
Delilah almost openly laughed at the question but answered only with a
slight smile, "Well, I guess I'm just a curious person by nature! I am
wondering as to why you are so interested in our way of life for one.
You and your friends are obviously not locals! And for two why is it
that only one of you, out of all five, is allowed certain feelings? We
obviously have some very diverse cultural differences. You also haven't
said where exactly in the Dragonlands you are from, or if you are from
the Dragonlands at all." Her smile lit up her green eyes as they roamed
boldly over the man to finally settle on his bright blue eyes. "It's
very obvious you're not locals," she added with a chuckle.
Sutek took note of her gaze, "We are not locals, but people that have
been to many different lands over the course of our travels, learning
what we can from those who will teach us. There are a number of groups
of us, each one dedicated to the pursuit of all knowledge. Each one of
the five specializes in a particular aspect of a society and we learn
all that we can, teaching when we can as well. It is this that allows
me to be free, for I deal with the cultural aspect of a society ^ as the
blue-sashed member, I am permitted to behave in a way contrary to our
own people with regards to certain aspects of my culture."
The dark-haired beauty was having problems concentrating on his answer.
She was still holding Sutek's hand as they walked along, but he had
woven his fingers through hers and was gently massaging her slim hand.
This was not something he was doing unconsciously, Delilah was sure of
it. He knew exactly what he was doing, as the movements of his strong
masculine fingers pressed into her flesh, sending tingling sensations up
her arm and to various areas of her body.
Delilah shivered slightly as they came to her apartment. Reluctantly she
pulled her hand away to open the heavy door. "Would you like a glass of
wine Sutek? I do keep an excellent vintage."
Sutek nodded his assent, moving into the apartment, taking in the
surroundings, "Is this how most of the warren abodes look?"
"For the most part, the dragon rider's live in the cliffside apartments,
assessable only by dragon. Look around if you like," she said. "It's
small, but comfortable." Delilah's tastes were elegant but simple and
the apartment was done in earth tones and everything was geared towards
total comfort. She loved candles and many adorned the apartment. She
made a lot of her own and scented them with oils that were erotic and
known to be sexually stimulating. She lit several as Sutek wandered
through the few rooms looking. On his return the small living and dining
area was bathed in a golden glow of candlelight.
Delilah had slipped off her shoes and was padding around the room
barefoot. She had fixed a small plate of appetizers and had set them on
the table. When she realized Sutek was watching her she smiled, "Sit!"
Taking the two glasses and bottle of wine from the counter she walked to
the table pouring them expertly as she went. Delilah almost choked with
laughter when Sutek commented rather factually about her large bathing
area. Grinning she said, "Sutek, you are so refreshing! I guess I could
say something witty, but actually I picked this apartment because of the
bigger tub. Bathing is much more fun when you have someone to wash your
back don't you agree?"
Handing him the glass Delilah noticed even sitting he was still tall and
almost eye level with her. Handing him the glass she inhaled slightly
as his fingers caressed hers before taking the glass.
"You have very soft hands Delilah!" Taking the other glass and bottle
from her he set them on the table, then taking her hands in his he held
them palm up and began stoking the palms with his thumbs. "Hands have
some very unique pressure points, the feet also share this trait."
Her green catlike eyes glowed like brilliant emeralds in the
candlelight. As she looked at the man the tingling sensation began anew
as he touched her hands. "And just what do these pressure points do?"
With a swift movement, he pulled her down onto the chair at the same
time moving so that he knelt at her feet, "In this case, action would be
the best way to demonstrate what they do.."
Delilah's eyes danced with amusement, "I must say I do like your style,
Sutek! Always did like having a man at my feet."
Sutek quirked an eyebrow at the comment, then began lightly stroking
Delilah's feet, "Are you loud, Delilah?"
"Loud," Delilah asked a second before she realized what he meant, "Oh!
Well, I suppose^."
She let out a slow moan as pleasure rippled through her body, Sutek's
fingers working their magic. Sutek chuckled to himself, "I'll take that
as a yes. Would you like me to continue?"
Delilah gasped as his strong fingers worked the tender flesh of her feet
making her body come alive with sensation. She would be intrigued about
this new technique later, right now all she could do was feel. And it
was definitely a wonderful feeling. But the nature of the flesh
requires a reaction to such things and her hands reached out to caress
his face, her thumbs tracing the outline of his goatee and lips. Her
hands slid around his neck and the slim fingers played with the tiny
hairs on the back of his neck eliciting a small shiver from the man.
"Of course but only if I get to play too!" she answered, her voice a
soft husky purr.
"We are learners as well as teachers, Delilah. Participation is
definitely encouraged," he said snaking his long arm up to the back of
her knee, continuing his massaging ministrations and bringing him closer
to her, the smell of arousal pulling him forward.
Only inches apart the knowing bright blue eyes stared into brilliant
green ones. Erotic sensations rolled over Delilah in waves as the hands
massaged her flesh, causing her to squirm in the chair. "I do believe
you're right Sutek!" she choked out between ragged breaths. Holding his
face again in her hands she began to nibble lightly on his lower lip.
Not really kissing him, her lips and tongue were feather light as they
played at the corners of his mouth, then began to trace his lips, to
tickle the underside of his mustache. Her fingers moved across his jaw
encircling his ears, then through hair on the back of his neck and down
onto his
shoulders. Her touch was so light that it raised bumps on his skin.
Delilah was having a hard time keeping her mind on what she was doing.
The hands massaging her legs had started a fire in her belly and it was
fast burning out of control. It took everything she had to keep from
shoving the man down and ravishing him right there on her living room
floor.
The woman definitely had skills, thought Sutek as he continued his
ministrations. He remembered several years ago when he thought himself
very self-possessed when it came to these situations. Then he had
encountered a woman whose sensuality and expertise left him in such
ecstasy he could barely remember his own name. He had learned much in
that time and Ahktor had to remind him that there were other aspects of
the culture he needed to explore before they departed.
His smile widened as he moved his hand further upwards, working the
thigh area, just inches away from her center. Her breathing grew more
ragged as her temperature rose further, flushing her exposed skin a
light pink.
The green-eyed beauty moaned against his warm lips, her all-consuming
need reaching a fever pitch as the hands manipulated their way up her
legs. Her mind and body was rapidly moving to that place beyond thought,
where only feelings and total ecstasy reside when the warren alarms
clanged loudly making them both jump.
"Oh No!" Delilah explained, her voice husky with unspent passion.
"What is it?"
Trying to catch her breath she exclaimed, "It's the Warren alarms, we're
under attack!"
"Then we shall have to continue this later, Delilah. I still believe
there is some learning to be done," Sutek murmured softly, standing up
to his full height and heading out of the apartment. Pausing at the
door, he turned around and smiled, "Keep yourself safe. I will return."
Opening the door, he stepped out, his robes billowing slightly as he
left.
Delilah just sat there with her mouth open her green eyes still glazed
with lust, "Like hell....." she muttered angrily at being so rudely
interrupted. Her legs were so relaxed when she jumped up from the chair
she almost fell. Grabbing the table for support and taking several deep
breaths to calm the raging fire within Delilah finally moved to the
bedroom stripping off her clothes.
Delilah could be very much the lady, but with the warren under attack,
now was not the time and in minutes she was in her riding skirt and
blouse. She pulled out a case containing her knives and slid them
easily into her boots. Delilah didn't like the knives, even though she
was quite adept at using them. The dark-haired woman found other items
much more to her liking in that area. But it was better to be safe then
sorry. Sounds of a battle drifted into the small apartment. Concern
for her Uncle drove her and soon she was making her way to the dining
hall. If he was running true to form he had probably fallen asleep at
his desk in the small office he kept there.
