"Well, we have to tell them some time. Tomorrow over dinner at the
Rest?" Toral asked.
"Ok," Merry replied, "I'll make them something special."
"I don't think I'd go too far out of your way," he smiled, "they might
begin to expect it."
Merry nodded, "In the meantime, there's something I really need to do."
"What's that?"
"This," she leaned close to him and pressed her lips to his.

[Morning - Smithy]
Toral whistled as he gently tapped the pins into the brass hinges. He
was making them for Clement the cabinet maker. They were going to be
used on a fancy new chest for one of the minor nobles in town. Toral
considered it a good sign that people were now returning to purchasing
things they wanted, rather than needed. The city seemed to be
recovering from the invasion.
Baylor Smith approached his nephew with a broad smile on his face, "So
it went well last night, eh?"
"What makes you say that, Uncle?"
"I've known men who's proposal of marriage has been turned down, and
they generally aren't whistling the next morning."
"Your powers of deductive reasoning are astounding. You're right, Merry
said yes."
"Fantastic!" Baylor said, "So, when's the wedding?"
"Sometime in the spring, I suppose. We'll have to work out the
details."
"Parents?"
"I'm telling them this evening. I hope it will go well," Toral said
with a slight frown.
"I'm sure it will be fine," Baylor reassured him.
NRPG:
Just a short one. I've got to go to work.
Kris: Idea - A road trip for Merry, Byrin and Toral to WR to tell Saul?
Would it be too tacky to have Saul give the bride away? <VBG>
Respectfuly Submitted,
Toral Smith of Ralengarde
