Kay looked up when Tahlaya sat down. He smiled glad for the company.

'Good morning' she signed. 'How is Sabbith?'

Kay grinned happily. He pulled out his slate and wrote, [He is asleep] He
followed the writing by signing the same thing.

Tahlaya laughed, "Are you going to turn this into a lesson for me?"

Kay nodded, the grin not leaving his face. *How else will you learn?* he
signed. Then he pantomimed the incident with Sabbith stepping on Kalon`s
head, throwing in signs as he went.

Tahlaya was in hysterics at the sight of the young man`s face as he showe=
d
how the rambunctious dragon rushed to his food with no regard to his
brothers.  He wrote out [Kalon] and then moved one hand formed into a loose
fist to his neck wiggling it slightly to show her the sign he had made for
Kalon. The movement reminded him of the little white dragon as he had
nuzzled B`rin`s neck, so that was what he used.

"Do you make up signs for all the dragons?"

Kay shrugged, *Some.* Name signs were very personal things. But as he`d
never known anyone who signed since his parents had died, he`d always mad=
e
up his own signs for others.

"Can I make up signs for my dragon. Kay grinned and nodded as Tahlaya
thought for a moment. As her face broke into a smile as she held out a fist
and covered it with her other hand, "Eclipse." Then she splayed the fingers
of both hand wide and said, "Sunburst."

Kay copied them to show her that he liked them, and would use them.

Kay had a grand time at practice later that day. Though Sabbith seemed to b=
e
a very boisterous little dragon. While his movements were graceful as the
others, he was easily excited and seemed to make a lot of noise. Kay would
probably not have noticed this was a problem had it not been for the others
covering their ears on occasion when Kay had felt Sabbith`s body rumble.=


The little dark crimson dragon also loved to rough house and was constantly
playfully nipping at his clutch mates. Kay admonished him to behave, and th=
e
little dragon promised that he would try=85 yet he seemed unable to control
his enthusiasm.

He especially seemed to love clamoring between Eclipse`s and Sunburst`s
heads, driving the dragonet  batty. (*Kalewyn, please tell him to stop*)
they begged. Though he wasn`t completely sure they really disliked it. Th=
e
two seemed to enjoy arguing and Sabbith seemed to cause a few of his own
between the two head of the one dragon.

H`nry patted him on the back and assured him that the little dragon would
grow out of it. But Kay wasn`t so sure. He felt like he was constantly
apologizing for the dragonet`s behavior and it wasn`t long before the e=
ntire
group of new dragonriders knew the signs for *I`m sorry*

Sabbith was repentive every time Kay corrected him.  And the dragon`s swe=
et
and loving demeanor made him easily forgiven by him clutch mates and their
riders. Sabbith enjoyed nuzzling with the dragons afterward as a way to mak=
e
up for his actions, only to roll over another again a short time later.
