Next Morning

Tera didn't know how long Ga'brin had been awake, but 
the smell coming from his kitchen told her it must have 
been awhile. She was stretching the kinks form her sore 
body when he came back into the bedroom with a tray 
full of food.

"Well I see you're finally wake sleepyhead," he smiled 
warmly down on her as he sat on the edge of the bed 
balancing the tray with one hand while leaning down to 
give her a quick kiss. " I was beginning to worry about 
you, and half decided to call for my mother to take a 
look at you like I wanted to do last night,"

"You worry to much Love," Tera teased him. "I told 
you I was alright last night before you put me to bed. 
Though I can understand why you wouldn't let me have 
a glass of wine with you and F'gon, just in case. I'm just 
a little tired this morning, and sore," she added. "I'm 
still not sure what happened last night. Or who would want 
to kidnap me, but I've never been more scared in my life. 

"Well maybe we'll find out more when we talk to Ophelia 
later. Maybe someone was able to identify the two men 
who attacked you," Ga'brin tried to reassure her. "It 
won't happen again Love, we'll be on alert for any more 
trouble for now on," he promised.

"Is that why you've ask F'gon to be assigned as my 
patrol partner?" she smiled up at him as she pushed a 
strand of blond hair that had escaped form the braid.

"I can't always be there to protect you Love," He didn't 
like admitting, "So I wanted to be sure you were safe 
when I was around. F'gon proved last night that he 
could protect you, and would if it came to that. I will 
always be grateful to him for what he did last night."

Later that morning:

When Tera and Sundellath flew together for the first 
time, it glorious, exciting and it was everything Tera 
had hoped it would be. Not even the events of last 
night could dampen the feelings.

< Preston and his rider are here, > Sundellath excitedly 
told her rider as they landed. < They say we did real 
good for our first flight. Now can we find a place for 
us all to live? > Sundee asked as they settled to the 
ground.

>>You know Silly, I never asked you how you felt 
about sharing and apartment with Preston and his 
rider.<<  Tera thought to her dragon with some 
concern. >>  I really should have. <<

<It'll be good for you, and now you and Preston's rider 
can become proper mates and maybe have a hatchling 
of your own> Came Sundee's reply. < We already t
alked about it and we both think it'll be good. Preston's 
rider is a good friend, and he likes me too!! >

>> Oh Silly what would I do without you," << Tera 
laughed, hugging the midnight blue dragon around the 
neck. >> You're wonderful, and flying with you was the 
best thing I've ever done. << 

<Me too!> Sundellath thought back enjoying the hug.
 It wasn't quite like the hugs she got from her hatch 
mates, Eclipse and Sunburst, but any hug from her 
human was wonderful.

"Well Love, what did you think about your first flight?" 
Ga'brin asked coming up behind her. His arms opened 
wide to catch her, as she throw herself into his embrace. 

"It was wonderful exciting, incredible," Tera laughed as 
Ga'brin spun her around in a wide circle before setting 
her on the ground. He kept his arms around her staring 
down into her laughing green eye, as she went on and 
on about the flight.

< Did your human act as silly as mine is when you took 
your first flight? > Sundellath asked Preston as the two 
dragons watched their humans antics.

[ All humans act silly the first time, ] was his answer 
when he settled next to the smaller blue.

< Does it last long? Or do I have to put up with this 
silly joy every time we do what we were ment to do 
together? > Sundee sighed as she moved to lay against 
her friend.

[ No little one, ] Preston answered with a dragon 
laugh. [They get easier to deal with over time. We just 
have to let them have their fun. ]

Just then Thomas came up to the excited pair. He 
smiled a greeting and held out his hand when he 
recolonized the Alpha flight leader.

"So I see you've already met the newest addition to 
alpha wing," he winked at Ga'brin. He'd already heard 
the rumors about the young man finally taking a mate.  

"Alpha Wing," Tera asked, her green eyes wide with 
excitement. "I got assigned to alpha wing?"

Thomas smiled back at her. He was used to the 
responses from his trainees when they found out they 
had been assigned to a fighting wing, and never got 
tired of seeing it over and over.

"Well it looks like we'll be flying in the same wing 
Love," Ga'brin remarked, clearly relieved with the 
assignment. The attack last night had scared him more 
that he was willing to admit, even to himself. With F'gon 
agreeing to 
ask to be assigned as her patrol partner, Ga'brin felt a 
whole lot easier.

"Tomorrow we teach you how to teleport to a few 
places you'll need to know," Thomas was saying. "Then 
after that you'll be sent to start training with your 
wing," Thomas went on, unaware that Tera had suddenly 
became very still.

Ga'brin noticed. He turned to her after the trainer 
walked away towards one of the other hatchlings.

"What is it Love," he asked in a gentle tone of voice. 
"What's got you so worried about?" His strong arms 
came around her pulling her snug against him. His and 
pressed her head to lay against his chest.

"Teleporting," She sighed hugging him around the waist. 
"I know it's silly and riders do it all the time....but 
after finding out that that was how my brother died....I 
guess it has me spooked," she admitted finally getting 
her fears out into the open.

"It's not silly to be afraid," He told her. "Your fear can 
be a good thing too. It'll make you that much more 
careful when the time comes."

I hope you're right," she sighed again then pulled away 
just far enough to look up into his black sexy eyes. " We 
got a date now mister to find a place to live, and I hope 
you're ready 'cause I'm not about to let you back out of 
your promise. 

She was feeling a different kind of excitement now, and if 
he didn't do something about it soon, she thought she'd 
go crazy. She'd already been by the Med center to see 
his mother about birth control. Not that she would be 
needing it for to long. Tera wanted to have Ga'brin's 
baby, but first she wanted to have him to herself for a 
little while.

Ga'brin brought his hand up to the sides of her face, 
tilting her head up, he dropped a quick kiss on her lips.
"Don't worry abut me changing my mind Love. I've 
already got a list of available apartments for us to look 
at. So when ever you're ready......." He made a gallant 
sweeping motion whit his hand in the direction of the 
two dragons. "We'll mount up and find us a home."

"I've been ready for the last week," Tera muttered 
under her breath as she remounted her dragon, and 
they were off.

Two hours later they had found the perfect apartment. 
It was high enough on the cliff face to set Ga'brin's 
mind at ease, with only one way in....by dragon back. 
They wouldn't have to worry about unknown visitors. 

The inside was big enough for the two of them and had 
plenty of room for the family they would one day have. 
Both dragons approved, for they'd get the afternoon sun 
to warn their ledge.

As they walked through the rooms, Tera was already full 
of decorating ideas. Ga'brin's mother, Sarrine had 
already offered to give her any help she might need 
getting settled. They had planed to meet tomorrow to 
discuss it.

Sarrine had been wonderful and understanding when 
Tera had gone to see her. She had assured Tera that 
both she and Gabben, approved of her as their sons 
chosen mate, and that her door would always be 
opened if Tera needed a friendly ear or some motherly 
advise.

Later that night:

Their first night together was everything Tera could 
have wished for and more. Ga'brin had proven to be a 
wonderful lover. He seemed to know just where to touch 
her body to bring her to the point of extascey again 
and again. He was so patent and skillful with his love 
making that she had no fears when he finally slipped 
inside her body. 

The pain of first entry was so brief that she ignored it 
and began to move her body against his. When the  end 
finally came, there were tears of joy in her eyes. Never 
in her wildest fantasies had she ever come close to 
imagining how it would feel. She never dreamed it 
would be like this.
 
"Are you okay, Love?" she heard her lover ask, as he 
settled her sated body against his own.

"Oh yes!!!!" she all but purred snuggling against his 
warmth. "When can we do it again?"

"Oh Love," he laughed, "You'll be the death of me yet!"

"Not to soon," she giggled back.

(nrpg: Yes I know I wimped out on what could have 
been a really good love scene :} I could say the post 
was getting to long...which could be the truth or I could 
say I wanted to wait for Sundellath's first mating flight....
Which will be soon, right?)
