Kay was hardly aware of the things around him as H'nry and the herder argued
over what had happened. He was only aware of the humiliation he felt. He had
allowed Titus to make a fool of him. He kept his head down not wanting to
see what was going on. 

Kay felt H'nry tap him on the arm. He looked up at the man, his face looking
as though the world had crashed in, "Go back to Sabbith. Go on. It'll be
alright."

Kay turned and headed for his dark red dragon who crooned to him, trying to
soothe his troubled heart. He felt a light touch on his arm and turned to
see Danielle standing their, "I'm sorry, Kay," she said, "I didn't know
anyone would be so mean."

*It's not your fault,* he signed sadly. He was about to turn away again,
when he felt her had stop him.

"It's not you're fault either." Putting a small hand on his face she reached
up and gave him a quick kiss, before turning and hopping on her own dragon.

Kay watched after her, in a stunned stupor. She didn't think badly of him.
Not even after what Titus had done.

<Of course not, Kay,> Sabbith said, <And I am so glad!> The dragon chortled
at the tingling feeling he was sharing with his rider. <Next time Titus
comes near you, I'll singe him >

Kay climbed up on Sabbith, <She didn't care about what Titus thought, Sabbith.>

<Kay, you are so silly sometimes.> said the dragon exasperated.

The first thing Kay noticed when they returned again to check on the herd
was that it was missing. What had happened.

<H'nry asks that you land a short distance away. But he wants you all to
remain mounted.> Kay heard Dalanth tell him.

Dianthus and Violet landed as Dalanth had asked as did Kay and Sabbith. He
watched as Danielle hopped off her dragon though stayed close to Violet. Kay
looked over and saw Titus and Brant staring at him. Titus certainly did not
look happy, and Kay looked away quickly. 

Even at this distance, sitting a top Sabbith, Titus was still able to make
Kay feel foolish and small.

Caught up in his own nervousness, Kay missed the green dragon as it dropped
down and grabbed Lyonnia until he heard the scream. <HELP ME!!!>

He looked up, <Sabbith?> Then he saw the dragon disappearing in a teleport
carrying Lyonnia.

<It was Lyonnia, Kay. She's been kidnapped!> said Sabbith.

<But who screamed, 'help me.'> Kay asked confused.

<It was Lyonnia!>

<I can't hear Lyonnia, I'm deaf!>

Sabbith sighed in exasperation, <Dianthus is panicky, we've got to calm her
down!>

Sabbith moved to stand next to the blue dragon, sending soothing croons to
her as he and Kay worked to calm her down. <Kay the green told her that he
wouldn't hurt her rider.>

<But who was that dragon?>

<I don't know.>

Kay turned his attention to the young blue dragon, <It's alright Dianthus,
the dragon promised he wouldn't hurt her. I believe him.>

<But Kalewyn, my rider ..> the dragon moaned softly.

<We'll get her back soon.>

<Kay,> interrupted Sabbith, <Dalanth says we are to leave H'nry and
Dianthus here and the rest of us are to teleport back to the Warren.>

<We are to just leave them?> Kay said, asking this of both Sabbith and Dalanth.

<Yes, Kalewyn,> said Dalanth, <My rider will take care of everything.

It wasn't that Kay didn't believe H'nry could take care of it. He just
didn't like the idea of leaving the two alone. But after a brief reassurance
from Dalanth, he agreed to go back.

The three dragon's reappeared over the Warren and quickly landed on the
green. As they hopped off their dragon, Danielle grabbed Kay's hand, "Come
on, let's go inform the Warrenlady about what has happened."

Kay nodded and the two headed quickly for her office. Of course as fast as
the two ran, Dragon voices moved much faster. Soon the news was all around
the Warren.

NRPG: Kat, hope you don't mind the kiss :} But Kay needed somthing to get
his spirits up, and that would do it :}:}

Sarah, it'll dawn on Kay sooner or later what happened, he's just distracted
now. But he will eventually realize what he heard. Perhap either Lyn or Kat
could work it in.. or i will do it later, no biggie :)
