[DL-T] Patroling
by

NRPG: This takes place the day the Ophelia is at Keldarra, the day after
Lyonnia's father dies, the day Tara finds out she's pregnant, etc. I'm just a
little behind. BTW, I didn't post a mating flight post.

RPG:

Dalanth landed lightly on Dianthus' ledge. Bright early afternoon sunshine
filled the space. Dianthus looked up from where she was curled up in the sun.

<Good afternoon Dalanth,> she said.

<Good afternoon,> Dalanth replied, <My rider is here to see your rider.>

<He can go on in,> Dianthus said.

Dalanth relayed the message to H'nry, who hopped off and walked toward the
door to Lyonnia's half of the apartment. Dalanth, knowing a good thing when
he saw it, curled up next to Dianthus in the sun.

H'nry knocked at the inner door.

"Come in," Lyonnia called out.

H'nry opened the door and saw Lyonnia sitting on the couch with an older
woman. Both looked as if they'd been crying, perhaps quite a bit.

"If this is a bad time," H'nry stammered, "I can come back later."

"No," Lyonnia said, "now is as good a time as any. H'nry I'd like you to meet
my mother, Laris. Mother, H'nry is my patrol partner."

Laris extended her hand, "Pleased to meet you."

H'nry took Laris' hand in his, "The pleasure is all mine. I only wish I could
have met you at a less difficult time."

"Life goes on," Laris replied with a sniffle, "If you'll excuse me," she said
heading for the bathroom.

H'nry turned to Lyonnia, "I stopped by to tell you that I talked to Sandor and
he said you can take a few days off from patrolling if you need some time."

"I don't know. It might be good to get away for a few hours. There are a lot
of memories here. Where are you headed?"

"I'm going to head out to the caravan. I want to have a chat with Evart, now
that I know he's still out there."

NRPG:
Sarah - Want to go along.

Here's the scoop. H'nry is going out to have a chat with Evart to get his
side of the story again. The Shadow is planning something and H'nry might be
there when it happens (wouldn't that be a great coincidence, Barbra).

                            Respectfully submitted,
                                H'nry - Dalanth
