[DL-T] Back to the Warren

<Dianthus and Lyonnia are heading to the beach for a little while. They want
to know if we want to join them,> Dalanth said as they flew toward the warren.

*We may later. I want to talk to Sandor about paying that raider village a
little visit. We might even go tonight.*

<Ok, I'll tell her, but I'd like to go for a swim while there's a few hours of
daylight left.>

Dianthus must have gotten the message and passed it to Nia because she waved
to H'nry as she vered off. Dalanth approached the warren at low altitude and
landed on the green.

*Dalanth, ask Dinnan where Sandor is, please.*

<He's in his office.>

*Ok, I'll be back shortly.*

Dalanth curled up in the sun off to one side of the green while H'nry entered
the warren. H'nry knocked on Sandor's office door and waited a moment until
Sandor called for him to enter.

Sandor and waved him to a seat, "What can I do for you, H'nry?"

"Lyonnia and I paid a little visit to the caravan today. I wanted to speak to
Evart about the raid the other day. There were some details in his story that
I wanted to make sure I'd gotten straight. I'll leave out the dull parts, but
it seems he'd met the Shadow before he left Glosby at a village up in the
hills. I'd like to take a group of riders up there to investigate."

"You can't expect the Shadow to be there," Sandor said.

"No I don't, but someone might know something that might lead closer to the
Shadow," H'nry replied, "Besides, if there are raiders living there the law
allows us to punish them."

"I doubt such a wild goose chase would lead you any closer to the Shadow,"
Sandor said, "and you'd be hard pressed to prove the villagers have done any
wrong."

"Perhaps, but you don't know that for sure. I'd like to bring a small group,
maybe 20 riders or so, just to show some interest in what's going on in the
village. Enough to make them understand that we know they're there."

Sandor sat for a moment, thinking, "Ok, I don't think you'll find anything,
but you can assemble a group, and leave when ready."

"Understood."

H'nry walked out of Sandor's office. Sandor had seemed strangely reluctant to
let him pursue this lead on the Shadow. I'd expected more enthusiasm, H'nry
thought.

*Dalanth, let Dianthus know we're going to Glosby.*

NRPG:
I think that we've got a few more days of real time before the Council is over
to kill, and this seems like a good way. Anyone who would like to join the
trip to the village, feel free to post yourself meeting H'nry and Dalanth on
the green. I don't expect we'll find much, but life is full of surprises.

Barb: I'd like if Tara were part of the group. She hears of the expidition
and joins hoping to get a lead on Trap, or something similar.

Kris: Does H'nry know that Kay is Titus' cousin? If so, H'nry would probably
ask Kay to join since he probably knows the territory around Glosby.

A Note on Time: I'm picturing mid afternoon, about 3 hours to sunset. That
leaves an hour to assemble a group, 30 minutes travel time (isn't teleporting
great?) and an hour and a half to look around before dark.

                            Respectfully submitted,
                                H'nry - Dalanth
