>B'larin patted Tahlaya's hand, "Go on lass. I'll keep an eye on these two."

>Tahlaya gave Kay a hug and a kiss on the cheek, and looking at Danielle,
saw the shock in her face. She gave the young woman a hug.

>"It's alright, Danielle, you're safe."

Kay looked up at B'larin, *Can we go home now?*

Danielle translated, "He wants to go home."

B'larin nodded. "I think that's a good idea. Danielle, can you make sure he
and Sabbith make it back to the Warren. Fly straight if you don't think he
can do it, but get him home. I'll keep an eye on the repercussions here."

"What repercussions. He was going to kill Kay. What choice did Sabbith have?"

"What you and I know, may not be what the people here know. What if this
man had family? We can't just think this is going to go away once we're
gone." He looked at Kay who was watching intently. He put a hand on the
boys shoulder, then looked back at Danielle.

Kay turned away from their conversation, to look back at Sabbith. He just
wanted to be away from there. The rest didn't matter. He stood and headed
toward where Sabbith lay entwined in the two heads of Eclipse and Sunburst.

<Sabbith?> he called. 

The dark head shot up and the dragon pulled away slightly from the girls
who protested. <Kay, I'm sorry.> said the dragon forlornly.

<It's not your fault. Let's go home.>

<I'd like that.> Dragon and rider moved toward each other as Danielle ran
to catch up to the young man.

She grabbed his arm pulling him to look at her. "Wait for me, okay."

He nodded, and continued on slowly down only slightly. As they approached
their dragons Danielle again caught Kay's attention. "Maybe we should fly
straight at B'larin suggested. I know it's a long way, but .."

Kay shook his head. *No.*

Danielle grabbed his arm, "Kay, please. I don't want anything to happen to
you or to Sabbith. I don't think you do either."

Kay looked down for a moment then back into Danielle's ice blue eyes, *I'm
fine, Danielle,* He signed his name sign for her for the first time in
front of her. It was a variation on the sign for beautiful. She smiled at
the compliment. *I want to get back a quick as possible.*

"I understand. But you make sure you have that image firm okay."

He nodded and climbed onto the smooth hide of the crimson dragon, gently
caressing him as he settled into the saddle, <Do you have the image?>

<Of course, I do, Kay. It's home.>

<We can't make a mistake.>

<We won't, we're together.>

Sabbith and Violet took off into the sky. Kay pictured the heights of
Telnor and within an instant they were there. He saw Danielle appear a
short time later looking worried, as though she still hadn't been sure he
was calm enough to teleport. Sabbith headed directly for their ledge with
Violet on his heels.

Sabbith landed and lumbered to his warm sandy bed. Kay slid of his back and
curled up in his large forearm. Danielle watched the young man knowing it
had been a traumatic experience for him. 

<Sabbith, what are we going to do?> Kay moaned to his dragon.

<I had to do it, Kay. There was no other choice.> While Sabbith felt guilty
for the death of the man, he knew he had done nothing that any other dragon
in his position wouldn't have done.

<I know, Sweet Sabbith. But he's .. dead. That's a serious thing.> Kay
couldn't help but wonder how upset the Warrenlady would be. He should have
had more control. He shouldn't have allowed it to go that far.

NRPG: Just wanted to get Kay and Sabbi home. I'm sure the thing with Tera
took place before they left, but neither Kay nor Sabbith would be likely to
be told anything untoward was happening right now. They have enough on
their mind.
