He'd looked between the figures gathering around Daniel as he stepped back
to slip away and with a shake of his head, had turned and left. 

<<Everyone is so connected here...>> he thought to himself as he headed
out across the green again,  making for the road. <<There's no place for
me.>>

He paused only briefly at the inn and spent the last of his money on some
meager supplies. He sighed,  and had wished that finally this would be the
place for him to settle down.


It was noon by the time he'd finished his preparations, and with a final
look over the cliff face of the warren, trudged out into the rain and
headed south.
