Danielle awoke in Traps's arms smiling. She looked up at him as he looked
into her eyes.

"How long have you been awake staring at me?" she asked teasingly.

"About five minutes" he said, softly kissing her forehead "You are
beautiful you know."

Danielle laughed. "Not with this big bruise" she gestured toward the right
side of her mouth and nose.

Trap looked at her seriously. "You will always be beautiful to me."

Danielle cuddled close, then sat up suddenly in bed. "Violet!" She started
to scramble from the bed but Trap held her down. "Trap, I need to go check
on her, please?" She looked up at him pleadingly.

Trap sighed. "Ok, but only if you will eat something first."

Danielle started to protest, then saw he wouldn't relent and gave in.

"Ok, but something quick, please."

They quickly gathered breakfast/lunch together as they had slept until
afternoon. Then Trap called Diemas and they flew down to see violet.
Danielle ran to her dragon and hugged her.

"Shes doing better" Danielle said happily.

(Sabbith is feeling better too) Violet said to her.

This made Danielle think about Kay and she wondered what was happening to
him. She turned to Trap. "Trap, have you heard what they are doing about
Kay?"

Trap frowned and then saw the look on Danielle's face. "Yes, I heard they
are holding him over for trial. It takes place in a week. retala is
defending him."

Danielle frowned. "I need to be there. I was the closest when it happened,
and I can tell them it was self defense."

"If you are able" Trap said, curling his arm around her protectively.

"Not if, Trap. I have to be there." she looked up at him and he saw the
resolve in her eyes. She then continued, hesitateing slightly "Trap, I
want to go see him."

Danielle saw the look of hurt cross his face. "I thought you said you
trusted me." she said.

"I do" he said slowly, not sure how to explain. "But I don't have to like
it, do I?"

Danielle looked at him thoughtfully, wondering to herself if she could
learn to live with just one man. She knew from how things were with Tes
that it wasn't easy.

"Trap, will you take me visit Kay tomorrow morning?" she asked him.
