NRPG: Lynette: I'm starting this post after Gabriel's first morning
drills. Feel free to write what happened during the drills if you want
to. 

[Noontime]

<Well done Veil, I believe our first drills here in Telnor were quite
successful do you not?> the weary yet high spirited Gabriel asked his
dragon brother. They had indeed performed well, or so they thought, and
were now heading back to the Warren for a well deserved meal and rest.   
Veil simply hissed. <Ssssimply pathetic.> his thoughts echoed in
Gabriel's mind. <All too eassssy.>

Gabriel simply laughed. <Brother, one of these days your overconfidence
is going to get us into a lot of trouble!>

The dragon snorted in disdain. Green flames flared from his nostrils.

After they had returned to the warren, Gabriel made his way to the mess
hall for lunch while Veil returned to his "hidden lair" (he wished he
was so lucky) to sleep until the hot noon sun had died down.

He hoped perhaps Ash or Tahlaya were there but to his dismay neither of
them were at lunch. He sat down to enjoy his meal alone. 

"Hey there, you must be the new dragonrider." 
 
Gabriel looked up and saw a young, well built, bearded man come up to
him arm extended in a hand shake.

"Hi, nice to meet you," the friendly man said shaking his hand, "I'm
H'nry, rider of Dalanth."

Gabriel bowed in reply. "Greetings sir, I am Gabriel, brother of Veil."

"Ah yes, I've heard about you and your dragon." H'nry smiled broadly.
"May I join you?" he asked.

"Please do sir." Gabriel replied gesturing for the muscled man to 

"Call me H'nry." the bearded man grinned. "I think it's safe enough for
now."

"Very well... please sit then, H'nry." Gabriel smiled. He liked this
man. He seemed very friendly. So did all the other people he had met
thus far.

They talked for great lengths, discussions about Telnor, Epion, dragons
and the like. It felt good again talking to someone other than your
dragon thought Gabriel as the two men discussed their past and their
futures. It felt good talking to another human being.

"So, you're in Beta Wing now eh?" H'nry stated with a wry smile. "Then
it seems we'll be seeing a lot of each other. I'm in Beta Wing also!"

"Really?" Gabriel replied genuinly happy, "That's great!"

"So do you know who your patrol partner is?" H'nry asked.

"Yes, a girl named Danielle?" the young warrior answered.

"Danielle?!" H'nry echoed. He began to chuckle politly.

"What is it?" Gabriel asked unsure if he wanted to know the answer.

"Oh nothing," H'nry waved it off "Just becareful around her y'hear? She
uhhh kinda wild of you know what I mean."

Gabriel grinned. "Yes... so I've been told."

"Oh so you have already eh?" H'nry nodded.

Just then two people entered the mess hall. A man and a woman. 

H'nry's grinned from cheek to cheek. "Speak of the devil..."

Gabriel turned and saw an attractive light blond haired young woman walk
in with a male companion. Her beautiful icy blue eyes were only made
more apparent by her deep tan. 

"Is that Danielle?" Gabriel asked.   

"In the flesh." 

"She's very attractive." the nobleman remarked.

"Yep, she is." H'nry nodded in agreement. Then he pointed to the male
next to her. "That's Traplin, her mate."

Gabriel nooded and stood up. "Well, far be it from me to not introduce
myself to my new partner and her mate."

H'nry held his drink in the air. "All you big guy, take care."

Gabriel turned and bowed to his new found friend, "It was a pleasure
talking to you H'nry. Perhaps I'll see you later on today?"

H'nry shrugged, "Maybe, I've got patrol this afternoon but we'll see." 

Gabriel nodded with a smile and then went off to meet his new partner.

"Excuse me Danielle?"

The young woman turned to see who had called her name.

A young man dressed in white riding clothes and matching cloak appeared
before her.  

Gabriel St. Knight bowed deeply and formally. 

A voice like the gentle wind spoke, "I am Gabriel, brother of Veil." 

As the young warrior raised his head, a breeze slowly moved his shining
blond hair into face. He tossed his head back and those golden strands
flowed freely into place. The sunlight danced upon his sky blue eyes,
they sparkled with an inner brilliance. He smiled an oh so boyish smile. 

He noticed she was staring at him kinda funny.

"I'm your new partner."

NRPG: Kat & Barb, I assumed Danielle and Traplin had already gone to see
Kay and were coming back in time for lunch. Did I get it right?
