[DL-T] Heart of Darkness... Heart of Knight

[VEIL]
<The dragonsss of Telnor... how pathetic.>
Veil thought to himself in disdain as he flew ever nearer to a wing
coming back on patrol. He had taken the day to survey his new home, he
had found it unappealing. Now as the black dragon returned to the Warren
he chuckled in contempt for the other dragons below him.
> Patrol finished, and the wing headed home. On the way, they were joined by a
> large black dragon, riderless but claiming it was from the warren and had a
> rider there.
>
> *Is that the newcomer's dragon?* she asked Dalanth.
>
> (That's him.)
>
> She could feel an almost palpable evil eminating from him, and shuddered. *I
> don't know if I want to meet his rider if the dragon's like that.*
>
> (Well, actually, my rider was right. Veil's rider is almost the exact
> opposite to that dragon.)
>
> *Veil's the dragon?*
>
> (Yes. It's rather strange, the two opposites pairing. But I suppose anything
> can happen.)
[GABRIEL]
Gabriel searched the skies for his brother. Numerous times he had tried
to contact him mentally but the dragon either could not or would not
return his thoughts.
<Veil where are you?!> he said a little more than worried.
Suddenly Veil's familiar hiss echoed within his mind.
<Youuu called brotherrr?> the dragon answered lazily.
<Where have you been?> Gabriel demanded now a little more than upset.
<Ssssightssseeing.> Veil hissed.
Gabriel just sighed. There really was no point arguing with him. Veil
had always done what he wanted to do. Whether Gabriel had approved or
not. Many times it got them both into trouble. Now, here in Telnor,
Gabriel began to care less. There was no point in trying to reprimand a
creature who could not feel guilt.
<Well... next time just let me know where you going ok?> Gabriel told
his brother not too convincingly. Damn. He was always bad at trying to
argue with his dragon. Only because he couldn't.
<Offff coursssse.> Veil hissed. If it was in all honesty or in sarcasm
Gabriel couldn't tell.
The young warrior looked up into the sky and saw H'nry and his partner
begin to land after their patrol. He had never seen H'nry's partner
before and he figured now was a good time to introduce himself to her.
Suddenly before he could approach the two dragons landing, the blue
female roared an issue of challenge and took the skies dropping her
rider off as she did so.
> Lyonnia didn't even realize that her dragon had spoken until a loud roar
> issue from the body beneath her. Suddenly, sensations raced through her
> body, sensations only felt once, and certainly not at this magnitude. *Di!?*
>
> The dragon hurriedly landed, and Lyonnia slid in an uncerimonious heap to
> the ground. The blue dragon then gave another roar and launched into the
> air, followed by a rainbow of other dragons.
>
Gabriel watched the sky in fascination... and in fear. In all his years
bonded to his brother, Veil had never felt the urge to mate. Now, here
in Telnor, Gabriel felt something inside him he hadn't felt in a long
time.
Desire.
> Pure instinct took over then. Fear was on the back of her mind...but what
> was there to fear? These were merely puny males, who couldn't catch her anyway.
>
> <Haha!! You can't catch me!> Dianthus roared out in challenge, backhanding a
> dark blue dragon when he got to close. <None of you are worthy!!>
[VEIL]
<Foolish hatchlings.> Veil thought to himself as he soared over the host
of other male dragons attempting to win the blue's favor.
<I will take their precious prize and mock their pathetic lust.> he
laughed disdainfully. Yet something stirred within his being he did know
existed within.
>
> Lyonnia danced an instinctively seductive danced, surrounded <being followed
> closely> by males from <behind> all sides. Some she hissed at; others, she
> allowed to get close enough to almost touch her, but <bowled them out of the
> sky> pushed them out of the way before they <caught her> touched her.
>
Gabriel saw the girl seductively lure the riders of the male dragons to
her. Each man hoping to be the one she'd choose. One by one she pushed
them all away. He smiled to himself. She was indeed pretty.
> <You are unworthy!> Dianthus screamed, reversing course and diving straight
> into a clump of males under her, knocking many out of the race. On the
> ground, men fell away from the group, and the circle tightened around the woman.
>
> Suddenly, a talon snaked from out of nowhere, grasping onto the wing of the
> flying female. Dianthus battered at the emerging body with all her strength
> with her other wing and arms and legs, but the talon merely tightened it's
> grip, getting a better hold. {Ssssubmit!} the voice hissed.
>
> <NEVER!> Dianthus screamed, fighting with every part of her body, from her
> teeth to her claws, raking down the side of the black hide and biting into
> the hard scales at the back. <I will never submit to you!>
>
Though Gabriel felt the desire well up inside him, he was honorbound to
uphold his virtuous code. His will being stronger than his primal urge,
he was able to calm down and fully assess the situation. He knew Veil
had no intention of mating with the blue female. A simple show of
power... to prove his supremecy. Gabriel decided to go up to her rider
and tell her the true situation at hand.
He knew if he approached slowly or as the other male riders did, she
would take him for a potential suitor. He decided to take the alternate
route. With speed born of years and skill, the young man seemed to
instantly appear behind her. He held her tight so she couldn't try to
kill him if after he released her. Surprised, she spun around to face
him. Her eyes were blazing green. She struggled to free herself but
Gabriel held fast in fear of losing a limb.
> The two dragons plummetted from the sky, each fighting the other for
> control. Lyonnia found herself encased in arms, and clawed and scratched to
> get out, kicking and punching whenever possible. Sky blue eyes stared into
> her own fiery green, but she oblivious to all except trying to scratch them out.
>
> Finally, Dianthus stopped struggling. <I submit to you, Veil.>
>
> {Of coursssse you do} the black dragon stated sadistically. {You cannn't
> help it. Thissss will be fun.}
>
> Dianthus was repulsed by the thoughts, yet her instincts urged her on and
> she flew with the black dragon towards the hillsides north of the warren.
>
> Lyonnia found herself looking up into the most beautiful blue eyes she'd
> ever seen. She practically leaped into the man's arms and began kissing all
> over his face; it didn't bother her that he was rather unresponsive. She was
> too caught up in the feelings, unable to control them.
>
[GABRIEL]
She struggled for a couple of minutes unable to listen to reason when
almost immedialty afterwards she stopped and stared into his sky blue
eyes. He smiled his oh so dreamy boyish smile everybodys mother wished
their sons had.
No sooner than he had done that then when she literally pounced on his
and showered him with passionate kisses.
"Uhmmm... err... miss?" he gasped between every breath.
"I.. uhh... I don't suppose we've met." he continued through her series
of kisses.
"I'm Gabriel... rider of... of..." God her touch felt good. It had been
so long since he had felt the kisses of a woman. It had been so lonce
since...
"No!" he pushed her away gently, but firmly.
She looked up at him with a wierd look in her eyes. Embarassed?
Confused? Scared? ... In love?
[VEIL]
Dianthus looked at Veil suspicously. <Will you not take me?> she asked
again.
<No... now go. Leave me. I do not require your... sssservice.> he
chuckled evilly.
She turned to look at him again. Was she confused? Relieved? Scared? It
mattered not to Veil. As she flew off he grinned sadistically. His
pupiless green eyes blazed onced again with an eerie glow. The first
stage of his plans... had begun.

NRPG:
Tag Sarah! ;) Take the dialogue between Gabriel and Lyonnia anywhere you
want to go. Skies the limit!
I wonder what Dianthus thinks of Veil now? *evil grin*
sincerly,
