Kalewyn was standing to walk Kattibrie out of the med center when he heard
Lofflossit's cry of anguish. <Wraith!>

Barely a second later there was a cry from Dalanth, <Wraith!>  And
following that the cry went through tha warren dragons.

<A wraith in the Med Center, the morgue, my Kay!> Sabbith called. <It's got
the Lofflossit's rider and Dalanth's ride ran in to help .. and Dalanth is
tryng to get in to!!>

<What!>

"A wraith! Where?" Kattibrie asked in panic.

*In the medical building ..* Kay signed, *Get out of here now!*

She grabbed his hand and pulled him to follow her. He shook his head. *I
have to help. Go on!*

"Kay, please."

*I'll be okay, hurry up.*

He turned and ran toward the morgue to help H'nry and R'chein.  He stopped
short as he saw a burst of flame shoot across the hall and down into the
basement of the med center. He carefully moved a bit closer and saw
Dalanth's head sticking in the door, the frame cracking and breaking around
him.

<Watch out!> Kay heard Dalanth call. Kay turned in time to see the huge
wraith gliding up the stairs. He'd never seen a wraith so large ..

<Flame it! Dalanth!> the young man called.

<I'll try ..> Kay could sense some pain in the dragons mental voice. It was
no wonder seeing the cuts on his shoulders.

Kay's eyes fell on a full lantern a short distance away. He stretched to
reach it and just as the wraith reached the top of the stairs Dalanth let
out a second burst of flame. It wasn't as strong as his first, diminished
greatly by dragon's pain. Kay hurled the lantern at the wraith.

It shattered from the heat of Dalanth's flame and the oil inside burst into
flame engulfing the large creature, turning it to ash. Kay backed up from
the heat, watching as the threat was vanquished.

He felt someone push past him and run down the stairs. It was a slender
blonde woman he didn't recogonize. He saw H'nry wave at him as the
dragonrider moved to follow the woman, so he followed them both. The
stairway was blackened by Dalanth's flame and still smoking.

The woman had run to the fallen healer and was checking him over she turned
to the two men who had followed her, "We've got to get him upstairs."

H'nry and Kay nodded. Kay turned as he caught movement out of the corner of
his eye. It was a couple of med staff moving in with a stretcher. Kay and
H'nry helped them put R'chein on the stretcher. "We'll take him to
Sarrine," they told the stranger.

As the carried him away, she moved to look at the body. Kay's nose wrinkled
and his brow furrowed,  *Ryan ..*

He felt H'nry grip his arm as the both took in the horrible sight before
them. The woman was shaking her head. She turned to the two men, "It was a
hellspawn. Where is R'chein's patient?"

"Who are you?" H'nry asked.

"Lakoda, Head Healer from Marrid Warren. I'm hear to help. R'chein has a
patient, suffering from delusions about Wraith.."

Kay nodded his head frantically, and fingerspelled, *L'sein.* He turned to
H'nry, *She's here to help L'sein.*
