A week had passed since the hatching, and things seemed to be settling
down some. Blaze was recovering, Danielle had been taking turns with Trap
in helping to take care of him and make him take it easy. They had both
insisted that he stay in their spare room so they could make sure he
didn't do too much. Both Trap and Danielle filled in with others for
patrolling, since Danielle had still not been assigned a new patrol
partner, and obviously, Blaze was still not allowed out.

Vartex and Violet were practically inseparable, except when Marcus and
Vartex were training themselves. They were so far ahead of the others that
they didn't attend the normal classes, not really needing them, due to
Marcus's experience.

Danielle was still avoiding Marcus most of the time, as she was slightly
embarrassed now over the closeness that had happened at the hatching.
Abbien and him were now mates, and she didn't want to intrude on that, or
make Trap doubt her love for him. Though sometimes she wondered about this
man, who infuriated her most of the time, yet something had drawn her to
him during his troubled time.

Danielle stopped her musings and turned her attention back to cooking
dinner. She had promised Trap and Blaze that she would make her speciality
tonight, and she was going to keep her promise. She tossed the chicken in
with the vegetables and sprinkled the sauce on it, and slid it into the
oven. She had left out the mushrooms she normally put in. After what had
happened, she couldn't even stand to see a mushroom.

Blaze stepped out of the spare room.

"I think I am going home tomorrow morning. I fully expect Abby to release
me for patrols tomorrow." Blaze said to her.

"If you're sure that it won't be too soon." Danielle said, not wanting him
to do too much, but also glad that Trap and her would have their privacy
back. Their lovemaking had had to be muted lately, because of the close
proximity of their guest.

"Not soon enough" Blaze thought to himself. he had not been sleeping well,
knowing that the woman who had caused his brother so much grief was laying
happily in her lovers arms in the next room. Although, being with them had
given him new insight to help him plan more for the revenge he would
initiate soon. "You have been more than kind." Blaze said.

Danielle took a step over and hugged him. "You are like family. You know
Trap and I would do anything for you."

For a moment, Blaze's resolve wavered as he pictured this woman as part of
his family, then it strengthened again as he realized again he had lost
his brother due to her. 

Diemas's claws were heard on the ledge at that moment. Danielle's face
broke into a large smile and she practically threw herself into her love's
arms as he entered the apartment.

"Wow, what did I do to deserve this kind of greeting?" he smiled, wrapping
his arms around her and ending his statement with a kiss.

"I missed you" Danielle said.

"And I you, my sweet Dallie" Trap lightly kissed her lips again and then
showed her the single white rose he had found for her.

"Its beautiful!" she exclaimed, bringing it to her nose and inhaling
deeply. She then turned to Blaze and showed it to him.

Blaze had been looking at them darkly when suddenly the attention was
focused on him and he had to recover quickly. "Yes, its beautiful."

Danielle walked into the kitchen and pulled a vase from the cupboard to
place it in. She then walked back out.

"You two keep each other company. I forgot the barries for dessert and
need to go get them. The chicken is cooking in the oven." She leaned down
and kissed Trap and then called Violet up to the ledge.

*meanwhile*

(You think it will work?) Vartex asked Violet.

(I hope so, my rider can't keep ignoring yours,its silly) Violet said.
(Shes calling me now....get your rider down here.)

Vartex started calling out to Marcus. (I am itchy, can you come oil me
please?)

Violet smiled and took off to get her rider.

Violet took off towards the dining hall with her rider onboard but
suddenly took a turn and landed closer to the green.

(Why are we landing here?) Danielle asked Violet.

(Because you need to talk to him) Violet said smugly, tossing her head
over to the right.

Danielle looked over and saw Vartex...and Marcus.

(But I don't think I am ready for this) she said. (He probably doesn't
even remember me at the hatching and all our words other than that have
been harsh ones.)

(But it bothers Vartex and I...so you will fix it.)

Danielle groaned. She had never been good at apoligizing but it had been
bothering her as well. She had thrown herself at this man, and also
accused him of some horrible things.She owed him an apology.

She dismounted and walked quietly over towards the two."Excuse me" she
said. "I have something I need to say. I hope you don't mind."

Marcus just looked at her expectantly so Danielle rushed ahead. "I owe you
an apology. I mean, I have caused you nothing but trouble since your
arrival here, with my throwing myself at you, and the accusations, and
all....really I screwed up." Danielle hung her head. "I am sorry."

NRPG: Well, Rob? Will he accept?

I moved time ahead a bit since I wanted to get Vartex into the air and
Blaze out of the med center and back to his evil conniving.

Is anyone out there willing to get the storyline going again? We seem to
have died a bit here....
