Day 1, Extremely Early
"YOU PERVERT GET OUT OF HERE!!!!"
Falak took no time getting out of the office as the bathing woman
screamed into the approaching dawn. ~That~ was not the kind of
information he was looking for. He prayed that no one heard the scream,
or at least those that did wouldn't act in time to catch him.
He rounded a corner trying to control his ragged breathing, and looked
for a way to run. The voice spoke in his mind. ^This way!^ It was all
Falak needed. He took off putting all his speed and stealth towards
where the voice suggested.
He managed to stop himself before he ran into the circle of torchlight
the hatching ground had. He knew there would be guards. Blending with
the shadows it finally hit him that the voice from before was in his
mind. He pondered this thought as kept an eye on the grounds looking for
guards.
After a few moments he began walking away from the grounds, and kept
looking at the light the guard's torch gave.
He made a good distance when the man stepped out of the same shadow he
was hiding in. Falak was taken aback. It was very rare that he would
find someone who could track him when he was stalking. Even rarer still
that the man seem at ease with the shadows as Falak himself was. He
stopped and looked at the man, 'You're almost as good as I am.' Falak
remarked.
'Your not so bad yourself.' The man replied, 'The name's Soucivi,
yours?'
So the man wasn't going to turn him in? 'Falak' He said uncertainly, 'So
what brings you out in the middle of the night?' Falak asked trying not
to look impatient to get away.
'I could ask you the same question.' Soucivi grinned darkly, 'I'm sure
that woman would like to know.'
Falak grimaced, 'Good point, perhaps we could talk of this later,' He
made a short nod, and took off making sure that the man wasn't
following.

Midmorning, Hatching Cavern.
AirSight was getting restless. He had only been out of the shell for a
few moments, but all of his hatchmates had found their promised riders,
yet he was still standing there alone.
He again looked over the humans in the cavern. No he's not here. Why
not?? Where could he be?
A slight nudge from Zareena reminded him that his mother was getting
impatient. And he knew from the conversations he had been involved with
from inside his egg that this was a bad thing.
He glanced one last time at the crowd of humans, then back at his
hatchmates before giving in, and bawling at everything as his empty
stomach reminded him of his hunger. He let his instincts show him where
his rider was and began pushing his way past humans, dragons, and
hatchlings alike...

Meanwhile, In the Troupe Wagons
'WHERE ARE YOU!!!' Falak bolted upright after yelling the strange
phrase. He was soaking with sweat and still fuzzy with sleep.
He was sitting in the spare wagon on the makeshift bed he had put
together just the night before. Mostly composed of some of the boxes and
old tarps that were stored in the wagon.
The dream was very vivid in his mind. He was walking, then running, and
everywhere he went he was extremely hungry. But he was also looking for
something. Something other than food.
It took a few moments to realize what else was wrong with things. It was
extremely quiet. And Falak having been up all night in his failed
treasure hunt had been sleeping.
He poked his head out of the doorway just as a crowd of people began to
register on his hearing. The group seemed to be moving this way, and
from the yells and muffled voices, he could hear concern on the mind of
the mob.
Swinging to his feet, his first thought was that the stranger from last
night had sold him out for some reason. He quickly began to gather his
things. It might be a warren, but even a warren can have a guest outlive
his welcome.
That was when he heard the crooning. It was a strange needful cry. It
was a dragon surely, but why was it all the way out here? He gasped at
the thought, perhaps that woman last night had been a queen rider, this
might be more serious that he suspected.
A scratching at the door to the wagon brought him out of his thoughts.
He scrambled to grab his things and get out the back window when the
door fell open, and in tumbled a small gray form.
The hatchling landed not three inches from Falak's face. ^There you are!
Do you have anything to eat?^
Falak didn't know what to say...
Respectfully,
Jason Carnahan,
Aka
Falak and Airsight
