Late Evening
The stream in The Green.

(Snip)
The big dragon lowered his rider into the water, and Sarilyn immediately
set about cutting off his shirt, letting the cold water cool off the
burned portion of his back.

"It's ok, K'rvey, I'm here, and I'm not going anywhere. I've sent for a
healer, just let that water cool your back off, ok?"
(End Snip)

The water was beyond relief on poor K'rvey's back. At first the cold
water had only made the pain worse, but was now doing an incredibly good
job of soothing it. He closed his eyes and relaxed, listening to the
water gurgle around him. Feeling much better, he began to wonder if he
might have exaggerated somewhat when Nhorrit had accidentally smothered
him with his gooey projectile. It sure felt like it had been boiling hot.

He sighed, and felt the last bits of the alcohol's toxicity melt from
his mind, helped along from the numb feeling on his back. He turned his
head to look behind him at the woman he had just met, which was being
kind enough to gently hold him above the water.

"So, this happen often to you?" he asked behind a weak smile.

She smiled back, "Does it to you?"

He laughed and accidentally swallowed some water. He spit it back out
and said, "No, like I said before, usually women just give me a kick, a
slap, or a punch and I go home piss poor drunk."

He tried to crane his neck to look at his back and stopped when he
started feeling pain from stretching his skin. "So how bad is it?" he
said as he relaxed his neck.

Sarilyn gave him a quick look over and said, "Doesn't look too bad, just
very, very red. I don't think you'll probably be sleeping on your back
for while though."

Nhorrit put his big snout next to K'rvey's floating body and gently
nuzzled him, < I'm so sorry. > he apologized.

K'rvey reached for his dragon's muzzle and held on to the big red's
face, <* It's okay, *> he said automatically, then grinning, he said out
loud, "Just don't do it again you big oaf! Or I'll never sneak snacks to
you from the Dining Hall again!" he smacked the dragon's nose in mock
anger and laughed.

Nhorrit snorted, trying to stifle back a laugh, and blew bubbles all
around the two humans below him.

Gently pushing the bubbles away K'rvey turned to Sarilyn again and said,
"I don't think I need a healer though. It feels better now."

"Well it's too late now, Darla is already getting someone."

"Oh... hey!" he said spotting his torn shirt floating away from him,
"That was my favorite shirt!"

Dining Hall

Darla, meanwhile, simply did the only thing she could think of, since
she didn't know where a bloody thing was. She ran to the party, climbed
into a chair, and yelled at the top of her lungs, "I need a healer, and
I need one NOW!" for a tiny thing, she had a powerful set of lungs!

NRPG: Well, since Dalmar obviously wasn't involved in this little fiasco
and no one else has a character that is a healer, I'll write as Libby
for now. She's a NPC, so don't bother tagging her, just write as her.

Libby, who had been enjoying the festivities, heard the small girl's
yell and immediately put on her head nurse persona. The room fell eerily
quiet as she walked up to her and calmly introduced herself, "I'm Libby
the head nurse, what's the problem?"

Darla looked down and hopped from her chair. She then looked up at the
woman and said, "Someone's been burned. I don't know how bad it is, but
he's been put in the stream in the green for right now."

Libby looked down at the girl and immediately began wondering if she'd
need help on this. She scanned the room, quickly looking for a fellow
healer and, finding none at the moment, she turned to the girl again and
said, "Tell me quickly what happened. If it's really bad we need to
contact the Med Center."

"I don't know! How hot is dragon snot?" Darla asked almost too quickly
for Libby to comprehend.

"Dragon snot?" she repeated, and then smiling at comprehension, she
turned to the crowd forming around them and said, "Go back to your party
folks! It's nothing serious."

Turning back to Darla she said, "Lead the way."

"I don't think you understand!" Darla said jogging outside, "This man
looked like he was in some serious pain!"

Libby jogged after the small girl and responded, "I'm sure it did hurt
and that the mucus was very hot, but I don't think it'd be hot enough to
do something much worse than a first degree burn. I'm no expert in
dragons but unless the dragon had been flaming before he sneezed, I
don't think it would have had time to get dangerously hot. Especially,
since it was probably shot out before the flame."

The two of them jogged in silence then, quickly spotting the blood-red
dragon lying next to the stream. Upon reaching the water, Libby
immediately wadded in and introduced herself, "I'm Libby, the head
nurse. I'm here to help."

K'rvey turned his head and smiled at the blond woman, "Why hello there
lovely! Are you here to make me feel all better?"

"Do I know you?" she asked rolling her eyes and gesturing to Sarilyn to
move aside and let her look at his back.

"Oh I'm sure we have! I never forget a face!" K'rvey said feeling the
woman's hands rest under his chest.

"Well, I'm sure if you've ever been in the Med Center you've seen me
before." She looked up and down his back and said, "Just as I thought,
mostly first degree burns, I think you can manage to walk but lets let
your dragon carry you. We'll put some medicine on your back so you don't
scar, patch you up, and you can go home and rest."

"Aw, and I thought my dream of being carried by beautiful women would
finally come true!" he pouted, "Are you sure we haven't met before?" he
asked as he was slowly allowed to put his feet on the muddy floor of the
stream. Both women took an arm and helped him walk out of the water. His
back immediately started hurting again. "Ouch... ow... ow... ow!" he
yelped with every step.

"I'm pretty sur... oh wait! I do know you!" she said giving him a dirty
look, "If I remember correctly I left you on the floor crying like a
little baby at the last party after you came on to me and tried to grab
something you shouldn't!"

The smile immediately faded from K'rvey's face and he looked skywards
with the face of a boy who had been caught stealing cookies and was
blaming his dog. "Uh... who me? Nonono, I'm sure it was somebody else! I
would never do something like that to such a lovely lady!"

"Uh huh, right. You're name is Quervy or K'rvey, correct?" she said as
she began helping him walk up Nhorrit's back and lay him down on top of
the saddle.

Holding on and finally taking a rest, K'rvey answered, "Uh... of coarse
not! My name is... uhh... my name is..."

He quickly shot a look at Sarilyn and winked, "My name is Companee!
Isn't that right Mishary?"

NRPG: I think at this point of time is when Fal'k started his act. So we
should be feeling the earth shake pretty soon, followed by Zareena
warning every dragon in the warren, including Nhorrit, of the methane in
the Dining Hall. BTW Methane is odorless, so I think you're thinking of
Sulfur John. Well, I suppose both gases could be seeping in.
