DL-W a night in the garden

>*Later that night*
>
>Trinale straightened up from pulling some of the weeds in her garden.
>Cricket lay close by smelling some of the fall flowers that were
>blooming. Trinale walked over her arms full of flowers that she had cut
>and settled down next to Cricket, smelling them.
>
>(Now, don't let me fall asleep out here again, Cricket. It'll get too cold)
>
>Cricket just snorted. (I will keep you warm)
>
>Trinale put her arms around Cricket (I love you, sweetie)
>
>(You too, Trinale)
>
>Trianle closed her eyes and rested against Cricket. Suddenly she heard
>movement and lept to her feet. "Who's there?"
>
>Pa'gan stepped out of the shadows. "It's just me, m'lady. I didn't mean
>to startle you."
>
>Trinale just stared at the tall man. "Oh, thats alright, I was just a
>little tense with everything that has gone on today."
>
"I have heard about a lot of the goings on," Pa'gan said as he
walked closer, "the rumors do get spread quickly here." Pa'gan smiled widely
at a thought, "There have even been a couple of stories circulating about
our little dinner last night."
Pa'gan just smiled and let that last statement lie right where he
dropped it. As Pa'gan finally closed the last few feet between them he
pulled his hand from behind his back. In it was a small burlap bag, tied
closed with a soft leather ribbon.
Looking down at the small female he smiled and said "Here this
should help you." He placed the small bag into the palm of her hand and the
fragrence slowly raised to her nose.
"It smells wonderful........what is it?" Trinale said as she held it
to her nose and inhaled deepply, almost instantly feeling more calm than before.
"It is a mixture of herbs, flowers and a couple of other wild
plants." he siad, "something I learned a long time ago."
Pa'gan snicker aloud at yet another thought.
"What?!?" Trinale said looking at the mischeavious look on Pa'gan's
face. "What is so funny?"
Pa'gan smiled again even bigger and fought back a chuckle. "I think
you will find the noble men easier to deal with come morning."
"What did you do........did you threaten them?" Trinale said in a
somewhat angry voice.
Pa'gan's expression changed drastically and Trinale instantly
regretted her assumption just because of his size and appearance that he
would automatically try to solve a potential problem with force. she could
tell that his feelings were hurt. She realized she and everyone else at the
warren had a lot to learn about this large man.
"I am sorry.....I didn't mean to jump to conclusions." Trinale said
as her head lowered.
Pa'gan reached out with his large hand and ever so gently caught
Trinale's chin and lifted to look her in the eyes. "No," he said in a very
gentle and calm voice, "I did not threaten them......but I did make up
several of these bags and placed them in their rooms. And a smaller on in
their pillows."
Though Trinale tried to stop it she could not help but buster into
laughter at the thought. "How did you do that?!" she asked still trying to
get hold of her laughter.
"Simple......." he grined and half chuckled "I went to their rooms
and knocked. When they answered and saw me and Reekor behind me I told them
that I had been sent to freshen their room and make all was satisfactory.
They moved and let me in with my arm fulls of flowers."
Pa'gan had to wait a few minutes as Trinale laughed hysterically at
the pictures in her head of the large man toting flowers around and acting
like a maid......in leather armour!
Once she calmed down enough to listen again Pa'gan continued.
"I went in and placed the vases with flowers about the rooms.
Wellllll......in the bottom of each vase is a pouch about 3 times the size
of the small one you hold. Then I told them I need to make sure that their
sleeping quarters were in proper order and as I CHECKED the bed I slipped
one each in their pillows, those were about this size." He gestered to the
one in her hand.
It took several long minutes before Trinale was able to calm
herself. "It won't hurt them will it?" she looked up at him pleadingly.
"No," he smiled at her gently, "it has no ill effects at all. All it
does is calm the nerves."
Pa'gan smiled at her and slowly bent towards her, giving her all the
chances he could to back away.......she didn't. His lips met hers and he
marvelled at their softness. Before the passion could build too far he broke
off the kiss and slowly sttod upright again.
<I see you are not having any problems staying warm> Cricket said to
Trinale
*Oh hush you!* Trinale replied back.
<I'm going to see if Reekor is warm enough.> Cricket retorted.
As Cricket moved to get ready to take flight she ever so lightly
brushed Trinale forcing her into Pa'gan's arms.
Pa'gan caught the young lady in his large arms and held her tight as
the dragon took flight. Slowly he lowered his head again and kissed her more
passionately, more forcefully.......and this time she kissed back with equal
intensity.
Soon the two had moved to a clump of bushes and disappeared from
sight of any that might be nearby.

Later that night the two called their perspective dragons and kissed
one last time for night and left to their own apartments..........to dream.
