Saul

>"I never knew, never dreamed it could be like this. So beautiful. Thank
you Saul. It was better than I dreamed"

>His arm tightened around her slim body, drawing her snug against him.
"Then both our dreams have come true, Sweet Shawnee."

He held her close as she drifted off to sleep, breathing her warm scent.
Smiling contentedly he allowed himself to relax, thinking of nothing but
her closeness next to him. He drifted in and out of sleep, seeing snippets
of dreams which could never be as sweet as the real thing.

He woke a bit later to find that he was alone. He sat up, "Shawnee?"

A few seconds later her lovely blonde head peeked into the bedroom with a
bright smile. "Are you hungry?" she asked.

He nodded, "But not for food." He grinned wickedly. She giggled and
disappeared once again.

He got up out of the bed and slipped his pants on before heading out into
her main room. A rich aroma reached his nose as he wandered over behind her
wrapping his arms around her. He nuzzled her neck, "Something smells
wonderful."

"It's a vegetable stew." She said turning in his arms to face him, her
hands absently caressing his bare shoulders.

His eyes sparkled, "No, it's not the stew. It's you." He kissed her gently,
enjoying the feel as she responded warmly to his kiss.

She smiled happily as he pulled back slightly to look at her. "I woke up
famished." She explained, "You were still sleeping and looked so peaceful,
I didn't want to wake you." She grinned.

"I was dreaming of you once again," he said. Then sighed deeply, "Ah, but
it was nowhere near as sweet as the real thing."

She dropped her head on his shoulder, "Nowhere near as sweet." She echoed
softly. His soft laughter echoed in his ear as he held her tightly.

She tilted her head up to him and he fell into her aqua eyes. "So does that
mean your not going to eat my Vegetable Stew?"

He chuckled, "I don't know Shawnee." A playful grin settled on his lips. "I
know you can steal my gold coins, and I know you can sew .. And gods now
you can set my heart afire. But can you cook? That's a question I've yet to
find out."

"Step into my dining room, my handsome dragonrider and you shall soon find
out," she said teasing him right back. She took his hand and pulled him to
the table. He sat down while she pulled out bowls and utensils and laid
them on the table. Then taking a couple of potholders, she picked up the
pot of stew and set it on the table.

"You didn't!" she exclaimed with a laugh. They had finished eating and were
setting on the couch with Saul relating stories of his years at Whiteriver.
His current story was the retelling of Kalyth's trip to the Warren. Shawnee
had been curious about some of the things the young woman had said when
they had met. Now she felt like she could ask him, an so she did.

"Oh yes, Sweet Shawnee. I did," he sighed. "I thought everyone would love
the chance to become a dragonrider, and I was out of time. The eggs were
hatching. There was no time to ask if she wanted to come. Fayloth simply
grabbed her up in one great claw and teleported back."

"I can see why she would be angry."

He laughed, "Yes, I suppose. But you must imagine how surprised I was when
I approached her after she joined with Aurum and she about took my head
off! It took a little while for the adjustment to happen, but I do believe
she's coming along now."

"I'm sure you only had good intentions."

"Of course," he grinned. There was a lull in the conversation as the each
stared into the others eyes. Then Saul frowned slightly, "How long were you
along in that town with just Ojean and Fawna?"

Regards,
Saul & Fayloth

NRPG: Just a short one to give Saul and Shawnee something to do while
everyone else catches up :} I figure it's dinner time with then wake up.
Everyone else is still somewhere in morning and afternoon I think.

Keeper, Thorin will be in for his shift in the evening sometime. So if
Pa'gan wants to talk to him, that's when he'll be in. I'm sure B'ril would
tell him the tall man wanted to speak to him.

Barb, I wasn't sure if Shawnee could really cook or not, though I figure
she probably does. But you can decide whether Saul likes it or not :)
