[DL] Saul
Saul saw the human with the flaming arrows, <A brave soul eh, Fayloth!>
<Pretty foolish in my opinion.> said the blue dragon with a snort.
Saul grinned broadly as they dove down to help the man, following his
patrol partner L=92rian, who was shouting in glee as he went. The blue drag=
on
and his rider flew with practiced grace as they, along with L=92rian and
Dandy, quickly turned the five wraiths into ash.=20
<Only five of the Saul! It was over much to quick!>
<Don=92t be disappointed, my friend. It=92s not good to wish for such thing=
s.
Remember what happened the last time.> Saul felt his dragon regret his
words. <Cheer up, Fayloth, we are victorious this time.>
The blue dragon settled down on the ground just after the large red, and
their riders hopped off and approached the young man on the ground. He was
breathing heavy from the exertion. L=92rian was already scolding the boy fo=
r
his foolishness in fighting five wraiths alone on the foot.
=93It was only wild eggs. I=92d say we could do with a few less wild dragon=
s,=94
said the man.
=93I... I was rescuing dragon eggs.=94
L=92rian looked at the lad, =93Hrmph, I suppose you thought so, didn=92t yo=
u.=94
Saul still grinning put his hand on his friends shoulder, =93Let up on the
lad, L=92rian. He was doing a fine job. And look he saved two nice sized
eggs.=94 Saul stepped over to the eggs and touched one gently. =93Just abou=
t to
hatch too by what I can tell.=94 He smiled back at the young man who had
risked his life for the two eggs. He absently scratched at the well-trimmed
hair on his chin, watching the young man closely.
=93Wild eggs, Saul!=94
=93Not if they=92re joined, my friend.=94
=93What are you suggesting? That we save these eggs?=94
Saul grinned, =93I imagine this lad wouldn=92t mind joining with one of the=
m.=94
He turned expectantly and looked at the young man.
=93Oh no, sir. I=92d like that very much.=94
=93Well, don=92t call me =91sir=92, or I might change my mind,=94 Saul said=
with a
devilish grin. =93My name is Saul. This bear beside you is L=92rian. What=
=92s
your name, lad?=94
=93Hugh, sir... I mean, Saul.=94
=93You=92re just going to leave him out here to meet more wraiths?=94 asked
L=92rian, completely baffled by Saul=92s words.
=93Of course not, L=92rian. I am suggesting that we wrap these two eggs up
carefully and fly them back to Whiteriver=92s hatching grounds to be hatche=
d
with the others.=94 Saul said.
=93We what!? Cricket wouldn=92t stand for that! You think she=92s just goin=
g to
allow you to bring in two wild eggs to her clutch. Trinale says the poor
dragon is tense enough as it is.=94
=93L=92rian?=94 Saul said looking at his friend, =93You can=92t be suggesti=
ng that we
just leave these eggs to die, when this brave lad risked his life to save
them?=94
=93That=92s exactly what I=92m suggesting....=94 L=92rian stopped, realizin=
g that he
didn=92t want to see the dragonet=92s die anymore then Saul did. =93Alright=
, but
I=92ll leave it to you to explain it to Trinale and Cricket.=94
Saul grinned, =93It would be my pleasure.=94
The two dragonriders and the young man pulled what supplies they had
together to wrap up the eggs and Strap them to the backs of the dragons.
One to each dragon. Then Hugh climbed up behind L=92rian and they headed fo=
r
the Warren.
<Fayloth, could you inform Trinale and her queen of our intentions and that
we will be there soon.>
<I thought you were going to tell them,> said the dragon.
<Of course, but I think perhaps they should be warned.> chuckled Saul.
<You are probably lucky that you won=92t be able to hear Cricket=92s scream=
s
when we bring wild eggs into her clutch.>
Saul shrugged. He would deal with that when they arrived.

NRPG: Well Kat, it=92s in your hands... but I just couldn=92t leave those e=
ggs

in
out in the end :)
Congratulations Troy!! You made it to the warren :):):) Who=92s next??
