[DL] Saul

L'rian looked at Saul letting him know that it was up to him to explain it
all to Trinale. Saul smiled at the young WarrenLady. "It's simple really,
Trinale. Your father and I were on patrol when he happened upon this brave
young lad here, protecting these wild eggs from five wraiths. With only
flaming arrows to help him."

Trinale looked at the lad then turned back to Saul. He leaned toward her and
whispered, "Don't you see it, my young searcher?" He was sure she would have
a hard time missing the affinity in the young man, as long as she wasn't too
upset about the eggs. Then he continued, a bit louder for everyone to hear,
"Of course once the dragons arrived they made short work of those vile
things, but we couldn't just let his efforts go for naught. He fought hard
for those eggs and therefore they should be saved. If we left them there the
hatchlings would have died. Maybe not even have ever hatched. Here they can
be joined and become dragonriders."

"There's a chance they may still go wild, Saul. There's no guarantee that
they will join with a rider."

"No, my dear, you are right, there is not guarantee. It's a gamble," he
grinned broadly, "For the lives of two possible dragons to join our wings, I
am willing to take that gamble... are you?"

"What about Cricket? Can't you see how upset she is?"

Saul looked over at the silver queen, "Let me talk to her." Trinale raised
an eyebrow at him, but stepped aside. The slender man made his way
confidently toward the queen, "Now Cricket, you can't allow the hatchlings
to die...."

The queen looked menacingly at him and opened her mouth, threatening him.
Saul backed up a step as he heard his dragon warn him, <Saul, she will not
think twice about flaming you right now. I'd rather you not get yourself
singed.>

<No, she wouldn't....> Saul began, but stopped as the large head of the
queen snorted a flame just of to the left of him. He quickly stumbled back
out of her reach. <Fayloth, perhaps... you should...>

<Consider it done, my silly human.> Saul could hear the chuckled in the
blue's voice. He turned to see Trinale and her father with amused looks on
their faces. 

He grinned, "I think that Fayloth is better equipped to handle this then I."

With that L'rian burst out in a fit of laughter, "You think so, my friend."

"I suppose there are some women that even I cannot charm," Saul retorted
smoothly, causing another fit of laughter from his friend. The two had been
patrol partners for a long time and were able to poke at each other without
hurting the others feelings.

Saul and Fayloth left the Warren to hit a few more places in search of
possible dragonriders. Trinale still didn't feel that there were enough
searchlings for the eggs yet, so Saul went off in search. He didn't mind in
the least. He figured he would fly to the Traveler's Rest as well as a
couple other Inns. He could flirt, and perhaps even get in a few games of
cards while watching for possible searchlings.

NRPG: Just a short one to set some stuff up :) Now I figure Saul is going to
have to search Arlene's PC first, get her back to the Warren, and then head
out again to find June's. So Arlene and June feel free to have fun with him.
He's a fun guys... loves women :) He'll not be easy to push aside. He's
charming and friendly... also a bit of a rogue :)
