[DL] Saul

Saul woke to his dragon's gentle prodding. <Saul, I think I sense one.>

<One what?> he thought sleepily to his dragon cuddling even closer to the
naked form beside him.

The woman sighed lazily and turned toward him, "Saul, my love, you're still
here." she said in a teasing voice wrapping her arms around him.

"Of course, sweet Celia," he crooned into her ear, gently nibbling on it's
sensitive lobe.

<Saul!> came Fayloth's voice again, feeling his riders rising desires, <Not
now, there's a girl I think you should see!>

<We've seen everyone here, Fayloth, let me be,> he said continuing to nuzzle
Celia's neck.

<She's not here she's a short distance from here. I saw her when I was hunting.>

Saul fell on his back, releasing the woman from his grasp. Celia looked at
him, "What's wrong?"

"It's that damn dragon of mine," Saul told her, "he says we need to go."

Celia smiled, "It's always something with you. Not to worry, Saul, I shall
always be here waiting for your next visit."

"Then I shan't stay away long, sweet Celia."

She smiled faintly as the man stood and dressed. She had known him for many
years now, and while he always came to her when he was near, he never stayed
long, nor did he seem to hurry back. She knew, despite his smooth words, she
meant very little to him.  She sighed as he blew her a kiss and closed the
door, knowing that as long as he came back, she would be there for him.

Saul stepped out into the morning sunshine from the inn to face his dragon.
"This had better be worth it, Fayloth."

<Have I ever been wrong?>

"Yes, but I won't hold that one against you..."

<Hmmph, that wasn't my fault! If you'd have watched where you were going...
Besides you have to admit it was great fun.>

Saul grinned at his dragon, gently stroking his head. "That it was."

He hopped on the dragon's back, and soon they were in the air. A short
distance away Fayloth spotted his query. He flew lower and called to his
rider, <There do you see her.>

Saul watched the girl. Even from this distance he could see it. <You have
good instincts, my friend, I shall not doubt you again. Circle around so we
can land.>

Suddenly the dragon called, <Saul, we don't have time! The hatching is
beginning now!>

<We can't let her miss this chance of a lifetime, Fayloth. Grab her up>

>Laughing maniacally, the rider shouted, "Come on, darling, the hatching is 
>about to start!" as the dragon swooped down and picked her up with it claws.  
>The world faded for a moment, then Kalyth found herself placed on her feet 
>in a rather pleasant valley.

>Catching her balance, she found herself clutching at a pair of strong arms for 
>support.

>"Now darling, I know I'm irresistible, but the hatching is starting, come
this way,"
>the rider said, propelling her into a crowded cavern.

Saul grinned broadly as he watched her walk almost into a bright orange
dragonet. It wasn't long and the joining had happened. <Job accomplished, my
friend!>

<Do you think she'll be upset at the undignified way she was brought in.>

<Of course not, Fayloth. She's a dragonrider! Who could want more?> He
walked over to where the young woman stood over her dragonet. "Welcome to
Whiteriver."

He fully expected to receive another hug from the tall young woman for
bringing her here, but was surprised when she turned and glared at him.

"You! You scared me half to death!"

Saul took a step back, "But m'lady, I ..."

"So what do you want? Are you going to tell me why you kidnaped me and
brought me here?"

Saul began chuckling. He tried to stop, but couldn't help himself. She
really didn't realize what had just happened.

"Stop that!"

"I'm... I'm truly sorry. Don't you realize what has happened?" he smiled
apologetically at her. Both for surprising her and for laughing at her.

"What are you talking about?"

"You are a dragonrider now. This is your home." He motioned to the sleeping
dragonet at her feet, "That beautiful creature belongs to you, as you belong
to her."

NRPG: June, Hope you don't mind. But I figured if Saul brought her in, he
would probably be there to see the joining and of course be expecting
undying gratitude :):) Hope I played Kalyth alright.
