>"You're smiling," Saul noticed right away when he placed the plate of food
down on table before her. "Anything happen while I was away?"

>"Yup!!" Shawnee's smile widen, "I came home."

>"That you have Sweetheart, that you have." If you only knew the whole
truth, Saul smiled as he dug into the pile of food on his plate. But he
would wait and tell her about that later. "Dig in," he said aloud. "The
stews taste great tonight."

Saul was pleased to see the young woman smiling, it was a lovely smile.
However, it was her eyes that he found most entrancing.

"Saul.. ?" he heard his name called.

"What? I'm sorry, Sweet Shawnee, my mind was wondering." He grinned at her,
"What did you say."

"I asked if you've lived in Whiteriver all your life."

He chuckled, "Oh no, my dear. I've been her though for fourteen year. Since
that large blue monster out there, snagged me."

"He 'snagged' you."

"In a manner of speaking. I was on my out of the Warren, having decided I
was not going to stay here. I was dragged to the hatching cavern, having
given my word to a friend that I would attend the hatching. It was there
that Fayloth  hatched and had to 'snag' me to get my attention. I was
determined I wasn't going to enjoy the hatching. But I did. Much more then
I ever would have expected."

Saul's attention was drawn from his story by the young boy he'd brought to
the warren earlier. The dragonrider waved back with a grin.

"Who's that?" asked Shawnee.

"Telaran. And over there .." Saul said motioning, "Is his father Terau.
They also have just arrived at the Warren today. Though earlier this
afternoon. Would you like to meet them?"

"Yes, I would," said Shawnee with a warm smile. 

Saul stood and offered her his arm, "The beautiful lady, you must come with
me."

Shawnee laughed and merrily took his arm. Saul grinned, glad she had
relaxed. Her brother and sister were together and being well taken care of
my Clarissa. He led her to the table where Terau sat. "Who is it?" the
older man ordered.

"It's Saul, Terau. I've brought a friend to meet you and your son. This is
Shawnee, she has only just arrived in Whiteriver less then hour ago."

Saul helped Shawnee into a seat across from the blind man and took the seat
next to her.
