<Saul, Poldera says she and her rider have found a wild rider!>

<A wild rider?> Saul sat up sharply. <Whose found them?>

<Poldera, the cute little auburn dragonet. You remember, I told you she
said her rider was beaut ..>

<A dragonet!! Oh dear, Trinale's going to have someone's head over this one.>

<She wants us to meet her outside the dining hall. She's bringing him in.
Then you can get a good look at her. I wouldn't be opposed to some warm
feelings with Poldera>

<You can be sure I'll be there!> Though Saul's mind was less on meeting the
rider as on making sure things were alright. Wild riders could be trouble.

<Like Titania?> chuckled Fayloth.

Saul grinned as he stood from the table. Titania was definitely something
special. He moved to the door, exiting to wait on the approaching dragons
which were already seen as specks in the sky. He watched the young girl
with the wavy auburn hair as she approached. 

<I told you her dragon said she was beautiful.> said Fayloth smugly.

<She's so young though, my friend.> Saul was sure this girl couldn't have
been much older then Trinale.

<When has that ever stopped you? Lute's rider was young.>

Saul grinned remembering Lute's first mating flight in which Fayloth had
come out the winner, with fond memories. That was the beginning of the two
riders close friendship. Cali had only been 17 at the time. Probably close
to the age of Poldera's rider and that of Trinale. It hadn't seemed such a
big deal then. But now, he thought of Trinale as almost a daughter, having
been partnered with her father for so many years. He found it frightening
to think that it was entirely possible for him to have a child of Trinale's
age. After all he was the same age as her mother, Caitlin.

<Perhaps I am getting to old for that, Fayloth>

<I don't think so.> said Fayloth. <You don't want me to stop flying mating
flights do you?>

Saul shook his head, <Not on your life, my friend. But that doesn't mean
I'm going to pursue a child as young as this one.>

Fayloth snorted, <You are no fun sometimes!>

Saul allowed the young girl to come to him with her story.

>"I was riding Poldera outside the warren and found this dragon and its
rider.  He seemed to be heading this way so I brought him with me.  The
dragon is named Reekor, and the rider is...."

>"Pa'gan," Tanya finished.

Saul turned to the young man who was hopping off his deep black dragon.
Saul found himself having to look up at the man who was quite easily the
tallest man Saul had ever seen in his life, towering over the older rider
by well over a foot. "Pa'gan, why don't you join us for dinner and you can
tell us what brings you to our fair Warren?"

The tall man nodded and followed Saul into the dining hall. Tanya was close
behind. She didn't want to miss out on this.

his intentions are good, though he'll be a bit aloof.
