Aradia was no so upset that at that moment she was incapable of definiing
her own emotions. How could she explain it to anyone else when she didn't
even understand what she was feeling? Frustration fed the anger and hurt.

"How? By staring at me!" she cried in exasperation.

Aradia watched the young healer pale at her biting words and immediately
regretted them. Not often did her temper get the better of her, but when it
did it was fierce. It was something she fought to control and usually did,
but for some reason it was difficult today. Of course, she'd heard that
pregnancy does strange things to a woman's emotions.

>"I'm sorry .." he sputtered, "I .. I didn't mean anything. Honest Aradia ..

She started to open her mouth to apologise, but it was too late, Thorin had
already turned and ran. Aradia ran to the doorway and hollered, "Thorin,
wait!" but he didn't stop, and he was too far away to safely chase after him.

Dejectedly, Aradia hung her head and turned to go back to the comfort of
her hatchling. 

<This is all my fault,> she sighed, plopping down on the hay next to
Futhark. <Maybe things would be better if I just left.>

<It's not all your fault. Don't think that way!> he scolded, <Besides, if
you left, I would die without you and you would die without me.>

Aradia felt like she'd been slapped in the face by reality. Never before
had she fully realized the implications of joining. She knew there was a
strong bond, but she didn't know that it was a bond to the death.

<I'm so sorry! I didn't mean... I didn't know...> Aradia began to weep
anew. <I keep messing things up around here. I like Thorin, I really do, I
never meant to hurt him!>

<No you don't! I know you never meant any harm, and Areena will talk to
him.> Futhark reasoned.
 
<So wise for one so small!> Aradia thought, one corner or her mouth turning
up as she attempted to smile through her heartache. <Gods, I wish Pa'gan
were here! I feel so alone right now,> she sighed sadly.

<I'm here!> Futhark reminded her.

<I know, my heart, but it's not the same.>

<Reekor,> Futhark sent for the third time that night, <Aradia needs your
rider, what is keeping him?>

NRPG: Keeper, consider yourself still tagged. <G> I figured I'd write this
since Thorin left so abruptly, so you'd know what you were walking in on. I
figure by this time Pa'gan is done with Derry, Daimon, and Trinale and is
on his way, just Futhark is getting impatient. That would be the fastest
way to do it, because if Aradia learns what he's up to she's going to haul
her little tushie on over there herself, even as upset as she is, and Kat
wanted to hurry this up a bit. :)
