[DL-W] Tirades over
by

Trinale watched as Pa'gan stepped forward, his hand reaching out to her
imploringly, but she had had enough. But before she could respond, Daimon
stepped from the shadows and pinned Pa'gan's arm behind his back.

> >"M'lady?" he asked softly
>
> Before Trinale could say a word Pa'gan raised his foot and brought it down
> on top of Daimon's foot.
>
> Daimon groaned in pain and loosened his grip on Pa'gan's arm just
> slightly, but it was enough. Pa'gan brought his twisted arm down and spun
> around. As he came face to face with Daimon and grabbed him by the throat,
> forcing his thumb up under the base of his jaw, putting pressure on the
> nerve mass there.
>
> "Listen FRIEND", Pa'gan said in a low growl but loud enough for Trinale to
> hear as well as Derry, "I don't know why you attacked me! But where I come
> from we don't go around attacking people for NO reason and especially from
> behind. No I suggest you just lay there in the dirt before you really get
> hurt. I have my hands full as it is.......and I HATE violence!"
>
> With that Pa'gan threw Daimon backwards so that he landed full on his back
> knocking the wind from him. Then Pa'gan turned to face Trinale all the
> while ignoring Derry.

Trinale was furious. This man was impossible. She opened her mouth to tell
him so but before she could Pa'gan had already started in on her.

> "And you young lady", Pa'gan said taking a superior tone even though he
> was only a few years older than her, "How dare you take a compliment given
> in a jovial way and twist it around. You and I talked when I first came
> here about how our cultures were so different and we agreed then that we
> would talk before we took anything wrong from each other. I see how you
> warren born keep your word!"

Now he was insulting her warren! Well, if he didn't like it he could
leave....and good riddance!

Trinale heard Derry> inhale as if he was going to yell, but Trinale
squeezed his arm in warning.
  A loud cross
> between a growl and a yell escaped Pa'gan lips at Derry's direction. Derry
> stood there fuming.
>
> "See......", Pa'gan said before either of them could say a thing, "You
> don't even know how to express rage. And as far as my going to Aradia and
> leaving you alone.....you asked me to give you some time! I DID!" Pa'gan
> nearly screamed at Trinale.

How dare he! He ignored her for over two months and now says he was giving
her time. He just didn't care about her feelings.

> "And yes I know you have others that care for you....but be careful who
> shows you their true face! But I can guarantee you one thing little
> lady......what I say is true and I do NOT hide my feelings.......I will
> hold them in check when asked.......AND YOU ASKED!" Pa'gan said once again
> forcing himself to try to control his emotions.

Trinale stepped forward, about to scream at him as he took a breath.

(Futharks rider needs Reekor's rider, Trinale. She is very upset.)

Trinale realized then what she had done. She had hurt Aradia. Gods, she
had never meant to! She was just.....scared. She would have to apoligize
and talk to her, but right now she couldn't deal with it.

> Pa'gan went silent and straightened himself to his full height. He inhaled
> deeply through his nose and then said calmly. "Now if you will excuse me,
> another I love needs me to help heal the wounds you have caused."
>
> Before Trinale had a chance to say a word Pa'gan turned and began running
> as fast as his long strides could carry him.

Trinale stood there astounded. The man had read her the riot act and then
just run off. She couldn't believe him! Then she noticed Daimon picking
himself up off the ground

"Are you alright?" Trinale asked, looking worriedly at him."Are you hurt?"

"Just my pride" Daimon grinned at her wryly. He then looked over at Derry.
"Maybe I had better go."

"Both of you were terrific. I am sorry I dragged either of you into this."
Trinale hung her head, ashamedly. She can't belive how out of control
things had gotten. She was supposed to be Warrenlady, keep control of the
warren and she couldn't even keep control over situations in her own
personal life.

Derry slipped his arm around Trinale's waist and squeezed her, while
Daimon stood there uncomfortably. "I was just glad I was there to help"
Daimon said "Now if you will excuse me...." Trinale didn't know what to
say, so she just watched him leave.

She then looked up at Derry, her eyes confused. "I don't know what to
do....the man infuriates me sometimes."

Derry slipped his arms around her tighter and then guided her to a grassy
area and sat her down.

"Don't think about it now, just relax." Derry held her, trying to release
the tension in her. As he felt it start to ease slightly, he had to ask a
question that had been nagging him. "By the way, did you mean what you
said earlier?"

Trinale was drifting off to sleep and barely heard the question. "Hmmmm?"

"Did you mean what you said about caring for me? About maybe....." Derry
suddenly noticed that Trinale was breathing easily and regularly. Damn it,
she was asleep!

(Levka? Are you alright?)

(Yes, I am cuddling with Doshayne and her rider.)

(Would you be alright if I stay with Trinale?)

(I am fine) the sleepy voice answered. (Just be here in the morning to
feed me!)

Derry chuckled and settled onto the grass, laying Trinale down with him.
She stirred slightly and snuggled closer. He sighed. It was going to be a
long night.

Nrpg: There, Derry and Trinale are. Jill, feel free to add Derry's
perceptions and thoughts or leave it be til morning...up to you.

Ok, so where is everyone else?
