[DL-W] Sorting things out

Trinale watched as the girls were brought safely over the edge of the
sinkhole. Faith was immediately strapped on dragonback and taken to the
med center with Daimon mounted behind.

"I am sure she'll be fine" Trianle squeezed his hand reassuringly before
he climbed aboard the waiting dragon.

Trinale watched as Lute took to the air with Cali and her two passengers,
and then she was almost knocked over by Lorilei hugging her tightly. Her
smile widened as her arms went around her sister, hugging her tightly. She
looked over her sisters shoulder at Katla and Derry and mouthed the words,
"Thank you". Then the two of them were enveloped in the arms of their
parents.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Trinale yawned tiredly as she got ready to hop into the shower. She had
managed about two hours sleep after the rescue of the girls, but now she
had to face the days business. Lord Fowler planned to leave early that day
as he wanted to "get away from all these disruptive influences." She also
wanted to stop by the medical center to check on Faith.

After quickly dressing, she mounted Cricket and flew to the med center.
B'ril was just coming on shift and he pointed to the room where the little
girl was. "She'll be fine....a few days rest, and she'll be up and
around." Trinale sighed with relief.

"Can I go in?" she asked.

B'ril nodded and Trinale pushed open the door. There in the chair asleep
next to the bed was Daimon, sound asleep, holding Faith's hand. The
squeaking of the door brought him awake and he immediately jumped up,
dropping Faith's hand.

"I am sorry to have bothered you, but I wanted to check on Faith." Trinale
said softly, trying not to wake the little girl.

"Its no bother, I had just dozed off." Daimon replied.

"B'ril says she'll be fine" Trinale said. This was a new side to this man
that she hadn't seen. The tender caring parent. She liked it.

NRPG: Les, take it further if you want.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Trinale stepped out of the med center and then decided to walk to the med
center, stopping quickly in the dining hall to grab a muffin and some
fruit. She bit into the soft muffin as she walked, thinking of the past
few days events. She saw Lord Fowler's carriage and wagon loading up. She
headed over to say goodbye.

Lord Fowler stepped out. "How is Jennifer?" Trinale asked.

"She will be fine, a little scared and scraped up, but fine." Lord Fowler
said "Look, Trinale....I am sorry for my actions last night and this
morning. I didn't mean...." His voice trailed off.

"I know. You were worried about your daughter. No need to apoligize."
Trinale understood.

He nodded at her. "Thank you for understanding." He reached his hand out
and took her and shook it. "We will be seeing you again sometime soon.
Send word when that Queen of yours is about to hatch her eggs. We will be
here."

Trinale nodded and stepped away from the carriage and headed again for her
office.

She had no sooner settled in when she heard a knock on the door. "Come in"
she called out, and T'jellan entered.

"I have to speak to you about K'leev."

She groaned audibly, "What has he done now."

"It's not pleasant .. but it seems he has taken a fancy to Shawnee, one of
our newest dragonriders."

Trinale nodded, "Saul's Shawnee."

T'jellan growled, "Not anymore, but that's another story .."

"What do you mean," Trinale asked, "What happened? Is it .. because of the
mating flight?"

T'jellan shook his head, "Don't fret, Trinale. The mating flight has
nothing to do with the problems between Saul and Shawnee. But I really need
to talk to you about K'leev."

"Of course," Trinale said, but her face left T'jellan wondering if the girl
believed him. But he had more important things to discuss then Saul's
selfishness.

"K'leev tried to pursue his attraction to the girl, bye forcing his
attentions on her."

Trinale's eyes widened, "He tried to rape her?"

T'jellan nodded, "I arrived in time to stop him."

"By the gods," Trinale raged, "I'll have that man banished for this."

T'jellan nodded.

Trinale reached out to Doshayne. (Doshayne, this is Trinale, Cricket's
rider. Could you please tell your rider, I wish to see her after morning
training?)

She then looked at T'jellan. "I asked Doshayne to pass onto Shawnee, I
wished to see her after morning training. I need to talk to her first,
before I do anything else."

T'jellan nodded understandingly. "I am sorry you have to deal with this,
Trinale."

"That man has been the bane of my existence since I became Warrenlady. I
wonder if Deanna had as much trouble out of him." Trinale then switched
focus. " By the way, after the training is complete, I want to gather with
you and Cali, who is doing the hatchlings training to discuss patrol
assignments."

T'jellan nodded. "Another thing you might want to discuss with Shawnee
when you see her is her mother."

"Her mother?" Trianle asked questioningly.

"Yes, her mother has come to the warren and is threatening to take the
children." T'jellan said. "Shawnee is terrified that she will lose them to
her."

"I will take care of it" Trinale said.

"Now, I had better get out to wing practice." T'jellan's face broke into a
slight smile. "Can't have all the new hatchlings show us up when they get
out of training."

Trinale smiled, but that smile faded as the door closed behind him and she
turned back to her work. What was she to do?

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Aradia knocked on the door tentatively and entered when she heard Trinale
beckon.

"Can we talk now?" Aradia asked.

"Sure, have a seat," Trinale told the young priestess.
Trinale figured she had to wait on Shawnee to finish training this
morning, so she might as well take care of other things.

"I hope I don't offend, but I am very confused..."

"What about?"

"Well, your ways are so different. You were so offended by Pa'gan and me.
All I did was try to kiss you... and yet you end up in the bushes with
Shawnee's Saul and Shawnee comes in the the barracks this morning with her
face all bruised and says K'leev tried to rape her."

Trinale sighed. "First off, why are you here and not in training with
Futhark?"

"I woke up early and already fed and oiled him. Cali said I could have a
few extra minutes after we all grabbed breakfast this morning, while the
others caught up." Araida replied.

Trinale nodded. "Ok, I just didn't want to interfere in your training."
She looked at the other woman before her. "As to K'leev, I am still
investigating and it will be dealt with." Trianle's voice was tight with
surpressed anger. "How is Shawnee this morning?"

"She is hurt, and confused and angry" Aradia said "But she is strong."

Trinale nodded. "Now as to Saul and myself.....didn't you know that
Cricket flew to mate last evening?"

Aradia's eyes widened in understanding. "Oh, the mating flights!" She now
understood. "And Fayloth won?"

Trinale nodded. "I don't think this is helping Saul and Shawnee's
relationship though. I hear there are problems." She sighed.

Aradia nodded. "Shawnee seemed upset about a number of things this
morning."

Trinale looked at Aradia. "I know how she feels. All these feelings and
everything that is happening is so cunfusing to me."

Aradia nodded understandingly. "You will come to terms with them."

Trinale looked doubtful. "Its just that I want a relationship like my
parents. No matter what, they come back together. I know I feel attraction
to Derry and to Daimon both" She paused and then looked up at Aradia "And
then I feel something for you. That both puzzles me and frightens me
slightly. I just don't know what to do."

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

NRPG: There ya go, Morgie.

Ok all, Trinale will be in her office most of the day, meeting with all
the concerned people and anyone else who wants to see her about anything.
Remember, dragon hatchling training will be going on all day with a break
for lunch and after dinner...oiling, washing, learning about dragon
diseases. Give it another day or two and then you will be doing the flying
thing...then a day or so after that, teleporting. Unless you have a good
excuse, like being ill in the med center, don't be writing your characters
out doing things in the warren, except at lunchtime and supertime and
after. Write interactions during training.

Since most of you got Keeper's mail earlier this week, I would like to
inform you of what has transpired. Keeper's character Pa'gan will not be
returning from his journey. Morgie and I will be wrapping this up within a
week or two. Meanwhile, keep Keeper on your mailing lists until this
storyline is finished. I will inform you when to remove.
