*In Ashelle's apartment, Day of the wraith attack*
Caitlin
Peering past the dreagons, Ashelle seemed confused by something. "Where
is T'jellan anyhow? I thought he'd come to see me and tell me how he
thought I'd done. At least to pop in and say good job or something? Is
he busy, I guess?"
Caitlin went quiet, and her silence lasted a bit longer than it should
have. Ashelle paled slightly. "What? Did something happen? He's ok,
isn't he?"
"Caitlin, tell me. He's not....oh gods.." Ashelle went limp, almost
falling over if not for Caitlin's grip around her body. "I don't want to
hear this..."
"Its alright Ashelle" Caitlin crooned, stroking the young girls hair. "Hes
hurt, very badly, but he is alive."
"Will he survive?" Ashelle looked at her terrified "he has to....I don't
know what I'd do without him." She started to cry.
"The healers are unsure, although he's holding his own." Caitlin knew she
had to be honest with the young woman. "he would have died if Dni and
Devonni hadn't saved him. They gave their lives for him."
Ashelle gasped as she realized just how much death had happened today.
"Come on" Caitlin said, helping Ashelle to her feet. "I will take you down
to the med center so you can find out from the healers how he is. I doubt
they will let you see him right now, as he needs his rest to get well, but
it might help you feel better to talk to Th'rin or Clarrissa."

*The day of the wraith attack, when Trinale regains her hearing of
Cricket*
Trinale was wrapped in Cricket's embrace and he was reminded of his
image of her as a sleeping princess wrapped in silver. Even smudged,
with a tear at the hem of her skirt, she was still his princess in
silver. He laughed as Levka, grey-green and handsome, hovered
nearby, his joy no less than Derry's.
"I can hear her!" Trinale's smile was like sunrise as she held her
queen.
Derry nodded. "I'm glad."
But the adrenaline was gone, and joy was not quite enough to keep him
on his feet. He grinned at his love even as exhaustion pounced,
carrying him away to darkness.
Trinale gasped as she saw Derry crumple to the ground.
Without thinking she called out (Juniper, tell Clarissa that Derry needs a
healer. We're in my garden.) She raced for Derry.
(Shes on the way)
Trinale was looking over Derry's body for wounds as Clarissa arrived,
sliding down from Juniper.
"What happened?" she asked.
"I don't know, he just crumpled." Trinale said, worriedly.
Clarissa checked him over for injury, finding none. "I think he's just
exhausted. The problem now is that we need to get him to bed so he can
rest."
At that moment, Derry's eyes fluttered open and he groaned.
(Levka, you are smaller than Cricket, I am going to have Clarissa help me
get Derry up on you and carry us up into our apartment.)
She explained what she was doing to Clarissa and they both helped the half
conscious Derry to his feet and aboard Levka.
"How are you going to get him inside the apartment" Clarissa asked.
"If I can't get him by myself, then he can sleep in the dragons quarters
with Levka...I will watch out for him." Trinale said as she scrambled up
on Levka as well.
"I want you to stay there and rest yourself" Clarissa instructed "You are
on the verge of exhaustion yourself."
"But..." Trinale began to argue then saw the look in Clarissa's eyes. "Ok,
it has been a long day." Then a light came into Trinale's eyes. "I talked
to Juniper and Lev!"
Clarissa nodded. "I think you will be fine. Come see Th'rin or I tomorrow
for a complete checkup though, ok?"
Trinale nodded and then cradled Derry as he moaned again.
(Lets go, Levka) and Levka launched himself into the air and teleported to
the hatching cavern. Cricket appeared right beside him and then landed on
the sands.
(I am going to start preparing the sands for my children) Cricket said.
Trinale smiled at the thought of a hatching again soon....then she slid
Derry to the ground, him awakening slightly as she did so.
"What...." he said groggily.
"Lets go to bed" Trinale said as she put her arm around him. "We have much
to do tomorrow."
----------------------------------------------------------------------
NRPG: Up to you if you want to do anything else with this day, Jill
----------------------------------------------------------------------
NRPG: I know I have to answer the other multiple tags I have waiting on me
and will attempt to do so tomorrow morning before I have to go to
work...but I need sleep now and I know Jeanette and Jill are waiting on me
so they can get off the day of the wraith attack.
I will get it done sometime tomorrow before I go to bed, baring any
unforeseen circumstances.
Rhi: in my next post, Trinale will meet with you sometime in the
afternoon/evening...the warrenlady meets all the new searchlings.
