T'jellan
***

>Ashelle sighed softly, and tugged T'jellan backwards. She ended up laying
>on the ground, and held him as he laid atop her. "Now...where were we?"

His lips pressed against hers again as he allowed himself to give into his
desires. He worked on shrugging off his clothes as he pulled at hers,
exploring her body, with his hands and his mouth. The early evening air
blew again their bare skin, causing goose bumps to raise, even as their
body heat rose along with their passion.

He felt her shudder several times under his gentle, exploring touch. She
whispered his name with a voice full of wanting, urging him on. He
positioned himself over her, spreading her legs as he pushed inside her.

She winced and gasped. He stopped and looked at her in concern, "Ashelle?"
Then realization hit him, as he looked down at her very young face. He
pulled back. "Is it your first time?"

She looked at him and nodded, "But please don't stop .. I want it to be
with you."

"Ashelle .." he said looking at her in concern.

"Please, T'jellan. It's been so wonderful so far. I love your touch and
your kisses." She smiled weakly, "I've heard it's painful the first time ..
I understand that."

He looked down at those miss matched eyes pleading with him. His eyes
flashed over her beautiful woman's body .. but she was so young .. and he
wanted her.

"Please?" she asked again reaching for him.

"Gods, Ashelle .." He knew he shouldn't .. but he wanted her ..

She reached up and kissed him, sending another wave of heat through his
body. "Gods forgive me .." he breathed as he once again moved to enter her.
He groaned as he pushed deeper.

"Are you all right," he asked kissing her forehead, his voice raspy.

She nodded, running a hand through the red fuzz that covered his chest. He
found her lips and began a rhythmic thrusting, very controlled .. very
gentle. Ashelle moaned and began to move with him, giving him more
confidence that she was enjoying their lovemaking now.

He released his own controls and allowed himself to get caught up in the
movement of their bodies as they joined, until release came and he
collapsed beside her, pulling her tight against him. "I knew I was right.."
He heard her say.

He turned his head to look down at her, "About what?"

"I knew that my first time would be wonderful with you." She reached up
and caressed his face, "Thank you, T'jellan."

He kissed her head and squeezed her.

<It was good ..>

<She's so young ..>

<Does age matter so much?> The dragon asked, getting tired of this
conversation with his rider.

<It might to her father ..>

<I don't know anything about father's but Oaklah says her rider is very
happy. And you, my rider .. you did not even think of Doshayne's rider
while you were mating ..>

T'jellan thought for a moment and realized Grunth was right. He hadn't.
He'd been too concerned about it being Ashelle's first time ..

He sat up on one elbow and looked at the young girl beside him. "Ashelle?"

"hmm," she mumbled looking up at him.

He reached behind her and grabbed her shirt, to cover her from the cool
air, "How old are you? 16? 17?"

"Oh please, T'jellan it doesn't matter." She said putting her hand over
his mouth as she pulled the shirt on. "Let's not think about it."

"It may not matter to you .. but it may matter to others," he said
sensibly, sitting up. He ran a hand over her head, and let his fingers
tangle in her ebony locks.

"Why? I'm a dragonrider .. according to Caliban that makes me as much an
adult as anyone."

"Yes, but there's a difference between being an adult dragonrider .." He
grabbed for his own shirt, pulling it on, ".. and being an adult in a
relationship .." the word slipped out and stunned him even as he heard
himself say it.

Ashelle grinned, "Is that what this is? Are we in a .. relationship." The
idea obviously pleased her.

He breathed heavily, "Oh Gods, I don't know." He moved to lean against a
nearby rock, "I'm going to 40 years old in a couple of months. You ..
you're in your teens .."

<<NRPG: Jeanette, according to your bio Ashelle is 15, so I figured it
likely she was still a virgin. Hope I was right :)>>

***

As they sat talking Grunth intruded on T'jellan's mind, <The Warrenlady's
been hurt. Oaklah and I are going to gather with the rest of the dragons to
comfort Cricket.>

<Hurt?>

<She was knocked unconscious but she's being cared for so you stay with her
.. talking is good.>

A worried look crossed Ashelle's face as Oaklah informed her of the same
thing. She looked up at him, "Do you think we should go .."

He shook his head, "No. We'd only be chased out by B'ril .. We might as
well wait here."

Saul
***

The dragonrider was just about asleep when Fayloth woke him, <Trinale's
been hurt. She fell and hit her head on a rock.>

Saul sat up , <Is she all right?>

<Cricket can't hear her .. but she's alive. The head healer is with her.>

<Does Shawnee know?>

<No, Doshayne says she's asleep and doesn't want to wake her.>

<Good idea. Meet me at the ledge. I want to check on her.>

<Perhaps you should stay with your mate.>

<I won't stay away long .. I just have to check on her. I want to see how
L'rian and Caitlin are holding up too.>

The dragon agreed and was waiting for him on the ledge as Saul pulled his
pants and shirt back on and prepared to go down to the medical center.

***

L'rian was in the waiting room when he arrived, as was the young man,
Derry. Saul nodded at him and moved over to his partner. "How is she?"

"She's awake.. but Cricket still can't hear her. That young girl .. Xanthia
.. she's in with her right now."

"How's Caitlin?"

"I sent her home to get some sleep. There's nothing wrong with Trinale ..
it wasn't a bad head injury. But it seems to have created havoc with her
telepathy."

They turned to see Th'rin walk in, "B'ril, wanted me to tell you to all go
home. He's ordering Trinale to bed for the night, anyway."

"How is she?" L'rian asked.

"She'll be fine," Th'rin assured him. "She just needs sleep."

"Come on, Th'rin," Saul interrupted, "Don't give us the standard speech. We
want to know how she's doing?"

Th'rin shrugged, "We don't really know. Physically, she's fine. So let her
rest. Maybe we'll know more in the morning. I'll be here all night. I'll
keep an eye on her."

"Come on, Saul," L'rian said, "Th'rin's right, our sitting here isn't going
to help. Besides I want to talk to you."

Saul nodded and followed his partner and friend out of the med center.
L'rian moved to walk beside him, "So did Shawnee forgive you?"

Saul shrugged, "Not yet .."

His friend nodded, but said nothing else. They walked in silence for a
moment, then Saul couldn't take it anymore, "Go ahead, say it."

"I don't have to." L'rian said gently, "You already know it."

"Yes, I do. I screwed up big time." Saul hung his head, "Gods, L'rian, I've
never had to do this before. I've never felt guilty about sleeping with
more then one woman. It's not like this is even the first time I've been
with Gwyna .. but .."

"But you choose to ask Shawnee to be your mate."

"I know. And it's not fair to Gwyna to let her think things will be like
they used to be."

"Not fair to Gwyna?? Do you even hear yourself, Saul!" L'rian said. "I'm
not worried about Gwyna. She'll survive. I'm worried about Shawnee. And
that innocent little life the two of you created."

"L'rian, I love Shawnee. I wouldn't leave her for anything." Saul told him,
"No matter what, she will always have my heart. Gwyna is the one losing
out."

"Look, you are my friend, and I love you like a brother. But you are warped
sometimes." He shook his head, "Go home to your mate, Saul."

Th'rin
***

Th'rin watched Saul and L'rian and leave and moved to take a seat next to
Derry. "You should go home too."

"I can't."

He nodded. He remember not wanting to leave Merissa's side when she was in
the med center. No one had been able to shoo him out either. "Would you
like me to have a cot set up in her room?"

Derry looked at the young healer, "Can you?"

Th'rin nodded, "Absolutely. Give me some time to get it set up."

Derry nodded gratefully, and Th'rin stood and headed to Trinale's room to
chase out Xanthia.

There was no need, as Xanthia was coming out of Trinale's room as he
approached. "I was just coming to chase you out," he smiled.

"Why?" she asked.

"Cause she needs her sleep." Th'rin said.

Xanthia nodded.

"By the way, Xanthia," Th'rin said, "I'd like you to stop by again
tomorrow. I would kind of like to see if you can hear Oberon any more.. or
if it was just a fluke."

"Okay," the girl nodded, "When?"

"Before dinner?" He asked, you could stay for dinner again then if you
like. I'm sure Merissa won't mind. She'll probably like the break. She's
gonna be pretty busy with Trinale being in the med center."

***

When Th'rin finally got the cot to Trinale's room, he found the young
woman, talking to N'lin. He took a deep breath, "I thought I'd ordered you
not to have anymore visitors."

Trinale grimaces, "I'm sorry Th'rin, don't chase him out .. I don't want to
be alone." Then she noticed the folded up bed on wheels Th'rin was pulling
behind him. "What's that?"

"It's for Derry. I told him he could stay with you tonight."

A deep voice sounded behind him, "Is that all right, Trinale?" The three
men, N'lin at her bedside, and Th'rin and Derry in the doorway, turned to
look at the Warrenlady.

She grinned, "How could I ever think I would be alone, with the three of
you to look out for me."

Derry chuckled and pushed past the healer, "You have the whole warren
watching out for you."

<<NRPG: I hope I fit this in all right. I figured Derry wouldn't be far
from the med center.. and yes Th'rin remembers well people trying to push
him out.. so he is very sympathetic! :)>>

Saul
***
<<Next morning>>

Shawnee and Shaulyn were gone when he woke in the morning, so Saul queried
Fayloth as to their whereabouts.

<She's taking the hatchling to see the healers. She left you some breakfast
in the kitchen.>

Saul grinned. That was a good sign she was at least thinking about him. He
headed into the kitchen and pulled his breakfast out of the warmer, and ate
it with relish .. she would forgive him. She had to. He would wait as long
as it took.

Regards,
Saul & Fayloth
T'jellan & Grunth
Th'rin & Areena
