>As Saul and Fayloth 'ported into the warren skies, Saul felt the dragon
>startle slightly. <What's wrong?>
>
><I didn't see him .. that's all..>
>
><See who??> Saul asked.
>
><Onyx .. He just slipped past me. He's so dark, no one coulda seen him
..
>hmmm ..> Fayloth turned in mid air and began following another course.
>
><Where are you going?> Saul asked.
>
><Onyx is following someone who is sneaking out of the warren.. Looks
like
>he's taking .. oh no, he's not. He's a sneaky one!>
>
><Someone sneaking out of the warren? Ask Onyx how long they've been
>watching this suspicious person?>

<New Material>
Sayli continued to track on the ground while maintaining the psychic
link with his dragon soaring silently overhead. It wasn't long before
Onyx contacted him, <I think I've been spotted, Dawn Breaker!>
Sayli stood stock still. He almost whispered his thoughts, <By whom?>
The large, black dragon slid invisibly through the dark night, <A dragon
called 'Fayloth' transported in, barely missing me...I had to swerve to
avoid a mid-air collision. I am unsure if they are following...>
<Damn...> Sayli cursed. He had wanted to keep up with the interloper as
he snuck out of the warren, but already, this little diversion had cost
precious time. He would have to take to the skies to continue the
search. If Saul and Fayloth were following, it would be better to get
them to help track the mysterious person. Four eyes were better than
two! <NRPG: For all us glasses wearers, here to us, baby! 8-)>
Onyx landed in a clearing and Sayli mounted up. His observations of the
training class earlier had taught him a neat trick or two about quick
mounting a dragon, he was pleased it worked. Soon, the two black-clad
figures were into the skies.
<Look, there he is!> Onyx mentally directed Sayli's vision, assisting
him with his own natural night vision. Soon, the image of Saul and his
dragon were apparent to Sayli, even in the pitch blackness of night.
<Send to Fayloth what we are doing, and ask if he and his rider could
join us in our search!>
The ebony colored dragon obeyed, and the other two late night riders
were gliding alongside the first two. "Greetings, Saul, and well met
indeed!" Sayli's almost formal speech seemed odd to the older man, who
stroked his greying beard, "Greetings, Sayli. What's this about a
sneak?"
Sayli conveyed his findings, and attempt to track the villianous shadow.
Saul listneed intently and then nodded, "I think I know where this
'being' is headed. I know this country, and every hiding place near the
warren. Follow me!"
Like shooting stars, the two dragons sheered the night winds, carrying
their riders on a break-neck ride into the tree line, and swerving
wildly around large rocks, and fallen trees to a hidden valley, riddled
with caves and treacherous footing.
Respectfully,
Wendon Pettey
Sayli/Onyx
NRPG: Kris, thanks for the assist! :-)
