[Day 8 -  VERY early morning]

L'kki crept into his apartment. His bags were svcattered over the floor. 
Lucy's cloak thrown over his sofa. She had managed to make herself something 
to eat, but left the washing up for him. She hadn't even managed to open  a 
window to air the place after a month nd a half of being empty. To top it 
all she had taken his bed which left him with the couch.

<Well you would have given her the bed anyway.> said Magpie.
<It's the fact that she didn't even think about it. I risked a lot to 
'rescue' her, a bit of thought wouldn't go amiss.>

L'kki didn't bother to undress simple laid down on the couch, covered 
himself in Lucys cloak and quickly fell asleep.


[Day 8 - Just about breakfast time]

He woke a few hours later by Magpie nagging him., that unless he moved 
quickly he would be late for his little meeting with Ja'ks.

L'kki grabbed a quick shower savouring the feeling of the hot water 
pummeling his lean body. Dressed in his simple riding leathers and ran 
through the warren to Ja'ks office.

He stood there waiting for Ja'ks to answer. Dreading the meeting, knowing 
deep down that Ja'ks was going to assign him to the worse patrol he could 
possible dredge up.

[Day 8 - Breakfast time]
L'kki came out of the office feeling very depressed, thanks to Ja'ks. But 
credit where credit is due, Ja'ks certainly had a great imagination. L'kki 
was certain that half of his patrol was in make believe land.

<Magpie, is she up yet?>
<Fraid not.> chortled Magpie. <Fast asleep.>
<Right I'm off to the dinning hall, the first thing she can learn about 
warren life is that there are no servants to wait on her all day.>

L'kki entered the dining hall grabbed himslef a couple of sausages, bacon 
and scrambled eggs and sat down with a mug of piping hot coffee, waiting for 
someone to start asking awkward questions about where he had been.
