[DL-W] A Cry For Help!
by

"He'll die here. I'm not skilled enough, and I don't have the right
equipment to save him." said the acting healer of Marrid 'warren'. It had
been months now since the dragons had been driven from their home by the
fluctuating magic . Most had fled to Xylian and a few other warrens, but
some, a small group had stayed to defend the populace against the wraiths
and the deformed and twisted creatures warped by the shifting magic.

The 'warren' was a group of dank caves in a heavily forested area, barely
large enough for the few dragons and the warren folk who had now where else
to flee too.

Tel'Thar could hazily make out the voices but he did not recognise them and
could only make out shadowy figures.

"His wounds are very serious and are infected, he has a raging fever. He'll
die in the next day or two if we can't get help." said the healer, who was
really little more than a nurse.
"What do you suggest?" asked Galloway, a knight from a distant land.
"Move him to a warren."
"Tricky, I don't know much about teleporting but it's very risky in his
condition, if he can concentrate at all in his state."
"I can give him a draught that will make him feel wide awake for about half
an hour, an hour max. But it'll drain him badly once it's effects where
off."
"Do we have a choice?"
"Not really."

The two strapped Tel'Thar to the saddle on Talos. The healer poured a
draught down the throat of Tel'Thar, the effects started to take effect
after only a few minutes.

"Tel'Thar. Listen to me." said Galloway urgently. "You need to teleport to a
warren and get medical help. If you don't you'll die."
"I, I understand." said Tel'Thar weakly, his mind still clogged, but able to
listen, hear and understand. "White River, I'll go to White River."

Talos sprang into the air. Tel'Thar started to picture his intended warren.
<You'll have to do better than that.> said Talos.

Tel'Thar tried again, hard and better picture came into focus. Talos
latched onto it, hoping it wasn't a delusion and teleported.

Seconds later he appeared over the green at White River.

<Help!> screamed Talos <My rider is injured! I need help!>

Tag one and all.

NRPG: Well here I am! Arlene explained the situation with the med centre
staff, and I took the easy option.
