as soon as I hit send on my last post!)
DAY 3
Late Morning
<SNIP From James's Post>
Tel'Thar knocked at the door to Merissa's office and walked in. "M'lady."
said Tel'Thar bowing his head. Slightly taken a back at the sight of
Merissa, a very different sight from Waylene the former Warrenlady of
Marrid.
"Tel'Thar isn't it? Please take a seat."
"Thank you."
"Now what can I do for you?"
"Well I am feeling much better, and should be back to full health in a
couple of days."
"And you wish to return to Marrid." said Merissa finishing off Tel's
sentence. "We will of course supply you with medical equipment and
provisions."
"I'm sorry M'lady, I was going to ask if I could stay on."
"Oh, I'm sorry. How long for?"
"Indefinitely."
"Well if you want to stay I can't see that as being a problem. What position
did you have at Marrid?"
"I was wing second M'lady."
"Oh really, how long for?"
"8 years M'lady."
<END SNIP>
Merissa's eyes lit up. Her wingleaders didn't have nearly that much
experience... and the way that Derry was acting lately, she wasn't sure that
he was still fit for duty. Katla was obviously more concerned over Kanler's
well-being than that of the warren, and Merissa couldn't necessarily find
fault with that, but it did leave a big hole where the leadership of Alpha
Wing should be. She would need to discuss this with them and the Beta
Wingleaders, but she felt confident in what she said next.
"Tel'thar, give me a few days, and I may have just the position for you.
For now, get to know the warren and her people. Find yourself some quarters
and talk to our quartermaster, Pav'lo, if you have any special needs."
Merissa smiled, "And, welcome to Whiteriver, Tel'thar, you are an answer to
prayers."
