Day 6 – early morning
`Tonio awoke, sitting up and placing his head in his hands,
<I assume that they have placed a guard outside?>
**There are two guardsmen, as the Warrenlady said there would
be.**
<I also presume that they are letting you out periodically to
take care of your needs?>
**Well, of course. I don't think they would want to try and
stop me.**
<Of course, DeMarco.>
**Will you be okay with this arrangement?**
`Tonio laughed out loud at the candid comment, "I must face
the consequences for my actions. While I may have thought they were
just, punishment still had to be meted out. Justice had to be
served."
Standing up, `Tonio walked to his shower and turned on the
water, recalling the actions that had brought him to this point. He
was in a blind rage, beating Tarv'renon senseless. The bruises on
his knuckles told him that he had been relentless in his
assault. `Tonio didn't recall much of that, and perhaps it was for
the best. He dimly recalled Tel'thar being in the tunnels, how he
found the secret ways baffled him, but he was there nevertheless.
Then he remembered both Merissa and Th'rin arriving on the scene.
They both set upon him and he was thankful that Tel'thar was
there, as he held off Th'rin's onslaught. Merissa's attack was not
so easily deflected. Raising his hand up to his cheek, he felt the
three red stripes that ran across it, as well as the bruises about
his shoulders as he warded off her blows. She had calmed down soon
after, her dragon relaying the information. There was a cold fury in
her eyes that lingered and `Tonio knew what to expect.
Th'rin had assisted Tel'thar in bringing Tarv'renon to the
medical center to have his wounds treated. While Th'rin was also
aware of the cause for `Tonio's assault, he didn't trust himself
around the Knight at that moment, a fact that did not go unnoticed.
He had instead gone with Merissa back to her office.
There she verbally lashed out at him, letting whatever
hostility she still had remaining flow forth. She was very angry
at `Tonio, at Tarv'renon, even at herself for not foreseeing
this. `Tonio felt helpless in that moment, being unable to offer
succor when he was at the core of the current dilemma. In the end,
Merissa had him confined to his apartment for the next two days, to
allow everyone a chance to cool off and to give him time to reflect
on what he had done. As for his position as Wingsecond, that would
be decided on later.
The Knight let the water wash over him. He had already
resolved to live with whatever judgment was passed, as his actions
had been motivated by his own prejudice and rage. As a rider and a
Knight, the action was inexcusable, one of the few times that both of
his orders were in agreement.
Stepping out of the shower, he toweled himself off and put on
loose fitting red pants, elected to go without shirt or shoes. He
was not going to be making any public appearances for the next couple
of days, so he would be as casual as possible. Stepping out into the
common area, he paused as he saw Xanthia standing there. Blinking in
surprise, he bowed, "Milady Xanthia, I did not expect anyone to be
visiting me at such an early hour."
She stared at him blankly for a moment, "Alina is asleep now
and I wanted to check your wounds."
`Tonio shrugged, "As you wish, milady."
Pulling up two chairs, he sat in one and gestured to the
other.

Day 6 – late morning
After Xanthia's examination, `Tonio upper torso and face
looked partially mummified. The wrap around his ribs had grown up
over his shoulders, poultices now being applied to the bruises he
received. A fresh bandage covered his cheek now, an herbal remedy
working to reduce the chance of scarring. The young woman's fanatic
devotion towards the care of others amazed him, but he was thankful
for her dedication to her art.
"Breakfast," came a cheerful voice, followed by a muffled
scolding. Standing up he moved to where the sound had come from.
**The two newcomers are here.**
As DeMarco's voice entered into his mind, Daisy and Rosie
Wood strolled in each carrying a platter of food. They took one
look at him and exclaimed in chorus, "Are you okay?"
`Tonio smiled, "Yes, although I likely look much worse than I
feel. I see you have brought a sizeable meal. I do hope that you
would join me, as there does seem to be enough for all of us."

NRPG: Okay, figured that I'd kinda glaze over the brutal events of
Day 5 and push to Day 6. I figured that if anybody's looking for
something to do, they can always visit `Tonio, whose going to be tied
up for a couple of days. Tag, all and post on!
