[Quoting from DL-X Tying Up Loose Threads]

>[Morning, Nineve]

>"All right Malic -- up you get..."

>A voice groaned from the bed and Nineve chuckled lightly.

>"Your better now, Malic. It's time for you to move out from the Med
>Center and find an apartment." She studied him carefully, smiling
>as he brushed a silver lock of hair away from his face. "Since you
>didn't quite finish training, I suggest that you go talk to H'lie
>about finishing it... As you know there's a class in session..."

A second groan emanated from the bed due to Nineve's prodding.
After a few more moments Malic sat up in the bed to scowl at her.
However, he was to late, Nineve had already turned away. "Wait you
can't just turn away! I'm not done talking to you yet!" Malic was
thoroughly irritated with her matter of fact treatment of him.
After all he was a Lord.

"Oh you were talking...?" was her only response as she walked out of
the room chuckling.

Malic in a rage threw the covers from the bed. "I am a
Nobleof this land...! If nothing else I should be treated with...."
It was pointless, she was gone and no one else was there to listen.
Deep down he knew that even if there were, they still would not.
"Why...." The voice was weak and childlike.

For the rest of the morning Malic kept far from the light
in the room as if its razes were fatal. For he knew that a new
day meant change, and a change he was not prepared to make.

[Early that Afternoon]

Now he was dressed in a outfit befitting a man of his
station. Red leather breeches with hard riding boots, a black
t-shirt with silver trim, and a silver ribbon tied his hair in a
pony tail. A gold chain about his neck, silver spurs on his
boots, and a sword tied to his belt marked him as a knight of
the realm. One who could be trusted with a blade even in the
presence of royalty. Malic looked in the mirror one
more time, and gave an approving nod. "Nineve is right I should
leave this quaint room and find a place of my own."

[Later that Afternoon]

Sitting on a sun warmed rock Malic watched as Dragons
winked in and out of the warren. The sight though unpleasant
was an impressive one. The thoughts going through his mind
were disturbing, and it showed. He had not been happy once
in his time here at the warren, and it showed in his treatment
of himself and others. Lost in thought Malic did not notice
the white almost silver shape decend above him. It was not
until the large dragon grabbed a young buck in its claws and
flew to a close by perch, that Malic realized its presence.
It looked at him intently, the great multi lensed eye
swimming with color. A cold chill ran through him as he
watched the beast eat. Knowing that the beast could just
as easily ravage him if it so wished. The thought was so
disturbing that he just had to leave. Using the meeting with
H'lie as an excuse to do so.

The young dragon rider stood in front of the door.
arm poised to knock, but he could not. He was ashamed,
the others had started in to there training and were well
ahead of him by now. The inner struggle did not last long,
for he had to talk to someone, anyone and H'lie was as good
as any. Maby then he could get some answers. His arm
knocked soundly on the door, but there was no answer.

[Quoting from DL-X Healping Hands]

>"Hi!" said Billy waving who was at the other end of the
>Corridor. "You look lost do you need some help?" offered
>Billy.

>"Well I am looking for H'lie...." started Malic.

>"My name is Billy, what's yours?" asked Billy holding his
>hand out for Malic.

"Malic." the answer was rushed, due to the mans
barage of questions and answers, at what seemed to be
the same time.

>"I'm looking for H'lie too, Chai says he's just come out
>of a meeting with Rhia." said Billy as he started to
>lead Malic towards Rhia's chambers.

	Malic accepted Billy's hand uncertain;y.
"Wait....sould not H'lie be in his quarters?" Unsure
of what else to do he let Billy lead him away to Rhia's
chambers. "Who is Chai? No I do not want to know...."
The more he thought the worse his head hurt. Soon after
that he gladlt(y let Bolly pull him along as it was the
only support he had at the moment. "Are things always
this complicated?" The question directed at Billy was
weak and almost did not will its way out.

NRPG: I had to get something out sorry for any
problems it might cause....
