[Xylian warren, afternoon on the same day Billy went swimming]

> Tiera was crossing the warren green on her way back from visiting one of   
> the warrens dragon rider. She was in a happy mood and was whistling a

  Sarilyn thought she heard happy whistling, and found herself wondering
how anyone else could be happy when she herself didn't know which way was
up.
 
> Sitting in a quiet secluded corner, Tiera saw Sarilyn sitting next to her   
> dragon looking fed up and miserable.
> "Hey Sarilyn!" called Tiera joyfully waving at Sarilyn. Sarilyn looked up

  Finally giving up on studying, as she just couldn't concentrate, Sarilyn
set aside her book on wraith fighting and tactics, and watched as Tiera
started over in her direction.
 
> Tiera started to walk on but paused after a couple of steps concerned for   
> Sarilyn. After all the poor girl had been through a lot recently, and   
> probably still felt quite isolated in the warren.

  Lunath gave her rider a gentle nudge, and softly crooned, while looking
at Tiera.  << Well...go on!  Maybe she can help you with your Billy
problem! >>

  Sarilyn blushed, and then shrugged softly.  Maybe she could at that.  It
was for certain that no one else was able to!

  "Umm, Tiera?  Can I ask you something, please?  I've got a problem, and
I've tried more than once to talk to H'lie, but he either doesn't hear me
even when I ask right in his face, or he's too busy.  And it's really
bothering me..."

  Tiera nodded, feeling that if it had Sarilyn looking this sad, it had to
be very serious indeed.

  "Sure, ask!"

  Sarilyn picked at the edge of her tunic, and sighed softly.  "It's about
Billy, well..not *exactly* Billy, more like Billy and his dragon, Chai."

  Giving Sarilyn a slightly confused look for a moment, Tiera blinked.
"Something is wrong with Billy's dragon?"

  "Oh no, not at all," Sarilyn answered.  "Not with Chai, or with Billy
really.  It's...well..drat it all!  I love Billy, you see, and he's Joined
to a female dragon.  So that means that he will like, well...male riders,
and where does that leave me?!"

  The young rider started to cry, not knowing how else to explain other
than that, and slumped sadly, feeling like she'd lost the only other real
friend that she had here, other than Lunath, of course.

  Tiera blinked again, this *was* a serious thing, and Sarilyn was
certainly right to worry.

  "Oh boy, that is a problem.  Let me see if I can help explain it.  Ok?"

  Sarilyn looked hopefully at Tiera, as she hugged Lunath close, and
waited for the 'solution' to her problem.
