[DL-X] Something is amiss....

[Quote from [DL-X] Sarilyn turns teacher! Sorta...]
<"Iknow my heritage, I know who bore me and what my 'rank' out there
<is...and when to use it if I need to. But in here, in the Warren,
<I'm just plain Sarilyn. After all...I don't think any wraith out
<there is going to turn tail and run when it meets 'Sir' Malic.
<They don't respect titles, but they do respect Dragons! You're
<a rider now, Malic, just a plain rider like the rest of us. Better
<get used to it, and remember your new place in things...which
<right now, is at the bottom of the order. And I'd show H'lie and
<Ilara the respect they are due...or you'll find yourself eating
<alone in the dining hall, and left alone by all but your dragon.
<I speak from experience."
Malic no longer glaring turned his full attention to
Sarilyn. His face was pail and blank except for what could be a
facial tick.
<Going quiet suddenly, Sarilyn blinked, and backed up a few
<steps...possibly defeating any purpose that her little lecture
<might have served. But she just coulden't let him upset her
<friends, could she?
<Turning to the blond woman that she'd effectively cut off from
<speaking, Sarilyn offered a deep curtsy, and an apologetic smile.
<"I'm sorry for cutting you off, M'am. But I got carried away,
and those things had to be said. My apologies."
<Then she moved a bit away from the group, and snuggled against
<Lunath. <<I do hope that I didn't make H'lie angry with me, love.
<I just couldn't stop myself!>>
Taking but two steps twards the woman he stoped. His eyes
were burning but nothingelse gave away his anger. Then there was
something more, Sarilyn was no longer in the Warren. She found her
self standing upon a green field littered with the remains of the
dead and dieing, covered in gore and blood. Standing not far
from her was a figure in cold steel with burning embers for eyes,
and a gleaming sword in both hands. Under the figure was a man
pleading for his life, begging her to spare him. As the sword
came down upon the man the figure let out a cry. The cry tore at
Sarilyn's heart and soul for this figure was a man reduced to that
of a wild animal. A killer no longer capable of mercy.
With a bit of a shake Sarilyn was back. Malic did not
look away, and he had not moved nor had anyone else. Then his
voice reached her ears in a cold and paced manner. "You may
know my name m'lady but do not even try to think that you know
me... Do you know what the title I have means...do you?
Because if you do not how can you possably pass judgement on
me...?"
Sarilyn backed in to the protective embrace of Lunath.
There was something not quite right about this man. "Umm
Ahh...no" Was the only reply she could make as Malic
advanced on her.
"I am what you all fear and Pity. Does that help you
understand what my title means...No well here is further Proof!"
Shaking Malic took his sword from his belt and threw it to the
ground in front of Sarilyn.
"That is what I am, and each notch upon that blade is
a life. My title gave me that, what did your title give you,
and if you wish to take my title from me YOU ARE WELCOME TO IT!"
The anger Malic felt now becoming vocal. Malic walked away from
the group and Sarilyn. Even all the practice and training in
the world could not keep him from doing what came natural in a
hostal situation. He had to leave before someone else benefitted
from his talent.
Some where in the warren a dragon let forth a mighty
roar, and took flight. The silver in the dragon magnified the
light down upon the warren causing a glare so intense nothing
could be seen for a few moments and was then gone.
[Tag All or anyone who wishes to try to talk to Malic]
NRPG: I am still working on Malics personality, if he
seems a bit off kilter for a while that is the reason.
But don't worry I'll sort it out soon. Thanks everyone
for making me part of the story....;)
