             [Lotherra...waiting room?]

>He promptly pulled Carlynee down on the floor beside him and shoved
>a slice of pear in her mouth.Ê "Now listen Carly honey...just relax
>some and eatsome of this fruit.Ê I think this little trip has gotten
>to that pretty little head of yours."B'Lin tapped her head lightly
>before patting her on the back.Ê "Just sit here...and close your
>eyes if you have to.Ê I've waited years to end up in a joint like
>this and I'm not about to leave...not while I can lay here and have
>sweet little babies feed me grapes.

Carlynee chewed furiously on the hunk of pear stuffed in her mouth
and she moved quickly enough away from B'lin before he got snoot full
of bony fist. She nodded along with Ce'lot when he spoke to the page
about leaving, irregardless of how much B'lin was against such a thing.
Rubbing the extra juice off her chin, she rolled her eyes at
Halyn & Bela while B'lin and Ce'lot did their usual "I'm in charge,
not you" schpiel.

>"Look," Carlynee spoke up.Ê "You stay here B'Lin...you stay here and
>smoke your cigars...and eat your fruit....but I'm not spending the
>night in thisplace...no way....no how"
>"It does look awfully bad out there..." Halyn shook her head.Ê "It's
>as dark as night."

Carlynee looked a little startled at that and rushed to the nearest
window, her shoulders slumping as she saw the roiling thunderclouds
overhead. Damn, that came fast. She definately didn't want to stay
here, the whole place gave her the creeps, but it looked as if she
didn't have any choice. She dropped down on a comfy cushion near
Halyn and snatched another apple from the fruitbasket on the table as
she watched Ce'lot and Bela leave with a little taunting from both
men.

>."Well....it looks like it's just you and us..." Carlynee said
>slowly as she chucked an apple heavily into the palm of her hand as
>she eyed him.."Well....it looks like it's just you and us..."
>Carlynee said slowly as she chucked an apple heavily into the palm
>of her hand as she eyed him.

I wonder how high this apple would rebound if I bounced it off that
stuffed head of his. Carlynee's musings were interrupted by Halyn's
hands covering her apple and hand with a calming look, as if she read
the artisan's thoughts. The young girl snatched her hand back with
an apologetic look on her face. Carlynee smiled reassuringly to the
worried girl, she had for some reason not been catching peoples'
auras as fast as she used to.

Carlynee leaned near to Halyn and whispered to her, "I hope you are
okay with everything. I know that you didn't want to come here
anymore than I really did. I'm sorry for not speaking up earlier.
How are you feeling hun?"

                              <tag Lisa>

Carlynee watched B'lin lolling away, acting like a spoiled Lord and
turned away in disgust. She'd never had servants and could not get
used to the fact of using them as you would animals. She would have
been embarrassed if some young man want to feed her grapes. What?
She was too immature to feed herself? B'lin obviously didn't think
the same way.

Her eyes were drawn to the man who strode into the room. She
didn't recognize him, but by his bearing he would have to be a noble.

>I am LordLothar, and I am very pleased to meet you dragonriders!" he
>exclaimed enthusiastically as he stood just inside the chamber

Carlynee's eyes narrowed and she looked a little more closely at
this portly man. He was the one responsible for the death and
destruction they had found on their travels. He seemed very happy to
have more dragonriders in his midst and she couldn't blame him for
it.

Eyes widening, her gaze swung to Halyn. Here was the man who
ordered farms to be burnt and people to be killed. How would Halyn
handle this? Carlynee placed a long fingered hand down on Halyn's
leg and squeezed slightly, telling her she was here without speaking
the words aloud.

                      [tag again Lisa]

{NRPG: Taylor, did B'lin speak that line about helping Gerard restore
Lotherra aloud or was he still whispering? If it was aloud, Carl
definately has something to say about that...*evil grin*

Everybody..I know I said I would write when I had dried out, but we
also had a monster X-mas party at work, so I've been pickled a while.)

colorful regards,
Cheryl / Carlynee
