{NRPG:Sending this out a second time because something really
weird happened with the first one ... sorry if this gets to you twice}

                             [late morning ..Craftroom]

A grin spread across Halyn's face, "Well, then perhaps you could join
us for dinner? I've been eating with him every meal since his release
from
the Infirmary?" Halyn watched Carlynee expectantly.

Carlynee quirked an eyebrow at Halyn, then her face was wreathed in
smiles and she teased, "You sure you don't want me to snack first? No
need in frightening the man."

Both of the friends giggled a little at that. Carlynee's voracious
appetite was fast becoming legend within Xylian's walls.

Halyn looked delighted, "This is great ... we'll meet you in the Dining
Hall?"

The thin artisan nodded, gave Halyn a bit of a wink and whispered in
a mock conspirital voice, "I can't wait ... just a couple hours to our
secret rendezvous."

Dodging the paint that Halyn playfully splattered at her, Carlynee
called to her students, "Alrighty then. Time to clean up. Lavine's
class
should be showing up any moment and we don't want wood chips in our
beautiful paintings hmm? Everything looks great, progressing at a fine
rate. Now, remember ..."

Carl chuckled as the other people in the room echoed her sentiment at
the same time, "Don't be afraid of a little color."

Expressive green eyes looked innocently into Halyn's, "Do you think I
say that too often?"

Figuring Halyn's snort would be all she would get out of her, Carlynee
helped her students move their paintings to the small adjoining room
called the Bell room, because it was there the first painting at Xylian
was done ... Bela's painting.

Pushing her unruly hair out of her eyes, Carlynee watched the
retreating backs of her last students with slight surprise, "My
goodness,
clean up was quicker today than I thought." She thought her murmur
was for her ears only, till she saw Halyn's head pop around the corner
of
the doorway.

"What are you going to do now Carl?"

"Well, I'm going to work a little more on the wall to the Hatching
Caverns-" Carlynee's response was cut off at Halyn's eager question.

"Is it almost done?! Could I take a peak? Please, if I promise to
keep
quiet about it?"

Carl grinned at Halyn as they both knew what she would answer. It
seemed as if Halyn didn't ask and Carlynee didn't politely refuse, the
day just wouldn't feel right.

"It'll take a couple more days ..." her voice trailed off as Halyn's
face took on a familiar look of resignation, "You can come if you help
me
lug my supplies and promise to act surprised at the unveiling."

Ill prepared for the yelp of excitement and the quick movement of
Halyn's energetic body, Carlynee found herself on the receiving end of
a rib crushing hug before she knew what happened.

*Gasp* "Lemme go Halyn before you pop my eyeballs out."

Halyn laughed a little embarrasedly and let go of Carl's thin form,
"It's all that working out at the stables, don't know my own strength."

Giving her young friend an almost evil grin, Carlynee smoothly
replied, "Then you can take most of the supplies." and proceeded to
pile them in Halyn's waiting arms.

                                                              [--]

Halyn flopped to the floor after Carlynee took the final amount of
paints from her aching arms, "Why don't you get a ride on a dragon
instead of lugging all this stuff up?"

Carlynee leaned against the wall that wasn't covered with a large
amount of tarping material, running fingers through her hair and
grimacing
slightly to Halyn, "I'd just rather not ... found that dragons can be
more
curious than people. Remember the cliff-climbing lessons fiasco?"

Halyn started chortling at the memory of curious and sometimes
panicked dragons watching their riders attempt to scale cliffs. After
having her students plucked off one cliff too many, with her on the
guiding rope dangling about 20 feet below the flying 'saviors', Carlynee
had called a halt to the whole thing.

Carlynee crinkled her nose at Halyn's mirth at her expense and decided
to change the subject. She reached slowly for the tarp, speaking in a
suspenseful tone, "And now, for your viewing enjoyment ... what's the
matter Halyn?"

Carlynee looked concerned as Halyn's face took on a decidedly odd look
and the artisan fought back a sense of foreboding.

                                                    <tag Lisa!>

{NRPG: I'm back and the creative juices are flowing ... alright, you
caught me in my lie, they're more like trickling, but it's better than
nothing.
*grins*

Lisa: Think the dinner date is broken off? *lol* We'll have to
                  do it another time eh?

       Sam: Post for you next!

Everyone: Hope you all got my note. I can grovel a little more
                            if it would  help?}

colorful regards,
Chreyl / Carlynee
