Ce'lot

He woke to the sensation of a warm, gentle hand running over his head. His
eyes fluttered open, then closed .. again .. trying to focus on the face
staring down at him. He recognized that beautiful hair right away. And as
his eyes cleared, her could see her chocolate brown eyes, full of concern.

"I .. I'm alive .." it was said almost in disbelief. He felt the knife
plunging deep into his belly. He'd felt himself growing cold. He'd felt
Britche slipping away. <BRIT!>

<I'm here, Nuns .. and so are you ..> His dragons presence was comforting.

He refocused on Bel and saw her nodded at him, "You are alive, though it
seems to be a miracle. But if you ever scare me like that again .. I .. I
.." She stopped, fighting back tears that filled her eyes and threatened to
spill onto her cheeks, "I'm so glad you're okay."

"How ..?"

"They say it was Chai'Lynn. Billy's dragon. She was able to .. heal you.
But it wore her out, she could barely move for hours after. She wasn't able
to help anyone else." A single tear escaped over her rim of her eye, "You
.. we .. are very lucky."

"What about Lady Tellari and her dragon .."

"Her dragon was killed .. in her flame fire as I understand. Britche was
hurt .."

<Brit? Are you okay?>

<I'll be fine. It only hurts a little. We are both alive. That's all that
matters.>

"Ce'lot ..?" he heard Bel calling him. He refocused on her and she breathed
in relief. "You got so still .."

"I'm not that fragile .." he said trying to smile.

Celia walked carefully into her son's room and paused seeing the sweet
red-head who'd stolen his heart at his bedside. She turned not wanting to
disturb them, but was called back by Belarade, "Celia?"

She looked back in. "I'm sorry, I didn't want to disturb you."

"You aren't," Bel smiled, "He's awake."

Celia moved in and was glad to see the blue of Nunlot's eyes. "Oh .." she
said smiling at him, "I'm so glad you're all right."
