< In Rhia's office >

Sarilyn stepped inside, and Billy followed.  "Rhia, M'am?  Billy has
something to ask you."

Billy gave Sarilyn a look...put him on the spot, huh?  But he turned to 
Rhia and grinned..knowing she wasn't able to see it.

"I was wondering if I might be able to go to court...with Sarilyn, as
sort of moral support when she testifies?"

Rhia looked slightly suprised, as if she hadn't expected this request at 
all.  And she took a few moments to think.

"Are you sure you want to do this Billy?" asked Rhia.
"Yeah, I'm sure. Sarilyn needs some-one there, you know how it is."
Rhia smiled.
"Well if you're sure Billy, but I have to warn you that it is your 
mother who will be on trial and the verdict is a forgone conclusion. She 
is guilty and even if the court don't find her guilty, then she is 
goining to be exiled to the wastes and she will die there."
"I understand Rhia, but I want to go. I've seen what she did to the 
warren and I know the people she killed, believe me, I want her to be 
found guilty and if I could testify I would."

Rhia sat thinking to herself. Billy felt Sarilyns hand find his and he 
squeezed it tight.
"Alright Billy, I will let you go. I'm sure you'd go anyway." smiled 
Rhia. Billy grinned broadly. "Well I suppose we'll need to find some 
suitable clothes for you as well won't we you little urchin? Sarilyn 
could you try and make him at least presentable?" grinned Rhia.

"I'll try M'am." said Sarilyn squeezing Billy's hand back.

[A short while later]

Billy sat down exhusted.
"C'mon Sari, surely something I'ver tried on is going to be suitable?" 
groaned Billy.
"I guess, why don't you try this on?"
"Didn't I try that on earlier?" asked Billy suspiciously.
"Maybe, but I've forgotten what it looked like on you. You have a knack 
of making ANYTHING look scruffy!" exclaimed Sarilyn.
"It's taken years of practice but I seem to have managed the art!" 
laughed Billy taking the pile of clothes and trying them on.

It was jet black crushed velvet and looked very sylish and elegant, 
perfect for court.
"You look quite handsome in this." said Sarilyn winking at Billy.
"Well, we could go back to your apartment and try it on there?" grinned 
Billy.
